The literal translation of the title of this movie is: the city that is
surrounded.
This television series is based on the famous contemporary Chinese novel
with the same name, written by one of the greatest contemporary Chinese
author, Mr. Zhong-Shu Qian.
Relatively speaking, this television series has given a rather accurate
reflection of the original work, but then again, any television series would
have the advantage over the movie because the former runs longer and has
enough time to show the details, while the latter is rarely longer than two
hours.
