10 May 1990Cooper, Truman, Hawk, and Dr. Hayward venture into the woods and have tea with the Log Lady and discover a crime scene in the woods. Audrey Horne takes a job at her father's department store to look further into her own investigation where Laura also worked. Hank Jennings returns from prison to a job at the Double R Diner, while Norma is unaware about the two-faced Hank's intentions. James and Donna show Maddy Ferguson there findings and enlist her help in Laura's murder. Meanwhile, Jerry Horne invites some randy Icelandic businessmen to the Great Northern Hotel to get them to buy a piece of real estate called Ghostwood Estates. Hank secretly confronts and beats up Leo for taking over his drug dealing business and letting it get out of control. Leo again takes out his angry by hitting Shelley, who finally loses it and shoots him. A shocking turn is revealed where Catherine becomes suspicious about Benjamin's intentions as they plan to burn down the Packward Sawmill to collect the insurance money, while Josie secretly meets with Benjamin where it's revealed that she and Benjnamin have all this time been conspiring to also burn down the sawmill for the insurance money and kill Catherine.

17 May 1990Agent Cooper lets the seductive Audrey down easy by having a night-long talk with her about life and love. The following day, Agent Cooper and Bookhouse Boy Big Ed decide to pay a special visit to One Eyed Jacks to find Jacques Renault. Unknown to Cooper, Audrey goes undercover as a hostess at One Eyed Jacks and persuades Blackie to hire her. Josie Packard shares her suspicions with Truman about Catherine Martell's intentions. But Catherine learns that both Ben Horne and Josie are planing to murder her. A wounded Leo, now a fugitive, learns about Jacques Mina bird at the police station and plots to kill it. Lucy continues to treat Deputy Andy coldly. Meanwhile, Leo Dr. Jacoby receives a phone call from the dead Laura Palmer so he thinks while James, Donna, and Maddy plot to lure him away from his office so they can search it. Jerry and Ben Horne take the Icelandic businessmen to One-Eyed Jacks to get them to sign the Ghostwood Estates business deal, while Ben makes a call to Leo to execute the burning down of the sawmill tonight, while Ben then makes another call to Hank Jennings to murder Leo, as well as Catherine, when the arson job at the sawmill is complete.

30 September 1990After being shot by an unseen assailant, a wounded Cooper has a vision of a giant who tells him three clues to help with the investigation. In the morning, Albert Rosenfield arrives back in Twin Peaks to investigate Cooper's attack and to assist. Meanwhile, Leland's hair turns white and continues to act strangely. James remains in jail after being framed by Bobby who plants Leo's cocaine stash in his motorcycle. Big Ed maintains a bedside vigil for the comatose Nadine after a suicide attempt. Leo remains in a coma after being shot by the murderous Hank. At One-Eyed Jacks, Audrey escapes notice by her father and finds that she's a prisoner there. With both Catherine and Josie missing and the sawmill burning down, Shelly and Pete are also in the hospital after escaping from the fire. Donna, following a tip from the Log Lady, decides to investigate the Double R's Meals on Wheels program that Laura worked at.

6 October 1990Still investigating Cooper's shooting, Albert Rosenfield tells Cooper that his former partner and mentor, Windom Earle, has escaped from an insane asylum and may come after him. Meanwhile, Donna meets the mysterious Mrs. Tremond and her weird grandson on Laura meals-on-wheels route who direct Donna to the home of Harold Smith who was a special friend of Laura's. Ronnette Pulaski awakens from her coma, but is not responsive. With Catherine missing and presumed dead, Ben and Jerry Horne debate destroying the sawmill ledgers, while Leland apparently ruins the business deal with the Icelandic businessmen by letting the slip about the sawmill fire. Andy angrily tells Lucy that he's sterile and wants an explanation why she's pregnant. Bobby persuades Shelly not to press domestic abuse charges at the brain-damaged Leo so they can take care of him and live off the insurance money. At One-Eyed Jacks, Audrey blows her cover when she interrogates Emmory Battis and learns how Laura came to work there and that her father is the owner of the place. Donna becomes jealous when James develops an attraction to Maddy, who has a frightening vision of Killer Bob. Major Briggs delivers a message to Cooper about top-secret work he has done for the U.S. Government in researching UFO's.

13 October 1990Cooper and Agent Rosenfeld are alerted when an attempt is made on Ronnette Pulaski's life at the hospital. Meanwhile, Donna meets with the reclusive Harold Smith, a orchid cultivator, whom she asks about Laura. At the One-Eyed Jacks, Audrey is held prisoner by Blackie and Emory whom are under the employment of Jean Renault who plans to extract a ransom from Benjamin Horne, as well as kill Cooper whom he blames for the deaths of his brothers Bernard and Jacques. Leland comes to the police station after seeing the police sketch of Killer Bob claiming to have known the mysterious man from his childhood. Elsewhere, Lucy meets with the suave and vain Dick Tremayne where she confides that she's pregnant from a brief fling they had and the baby may be his. The mysterious Asian man staying at the Great Northern Hotel continues to follow Cooper around. Philip Michael Gerard, the one-armed man, has a seizure after seeing the sketch of Killer Bob, and emerges as his alter ego, 'Mike'. At the hospital, Nadine Hurley awakens from her coma, but to Big Ed's bewilderment, she thinks she's 18 years old and in high school. Nearby, Dr. Jacoby is hypnotized by Cooper to look back into that night when Jacques Renault was murdered. Also, Donna continues to become jealous over James hanging around Maddy and runs to Harold for comfort.

20 October 1990Cooper and Sheriff Truman arrest Leland after he confesses that he was the one who murdered Jacques Renault in his hospital bed as well as the one who attacked Dr. Jacoby that night under the delusion that he was protecting Laura. Andy asks Dr. Hayward about taking a sperm test to see if he really is sterile. Hank Jennings asks Norma to spruce up the Double R Diner when news circulates that a shadowy travel writer and food critic named M.T. Wentz, whom no one has ever met, may be coming to Twin Peaks. Meanwhile, Jean Renault delivers a videotape of the captive Audrey to Ben Horne and demands a $100,000 ransom for her return and he wants Cooper to be the drop-off man. Upon returning to One-Eyed Jacks, Renault murders Emory Battis for treating the captive Audrey badly. Cooper asks Truman to help him with investigating Audrey's kidnapping. Donna continues to meet with Harold Smith who shows her Laura Palmer's secret diary which she gave to him for safekeeping, which increases Donna's interest. Josie returns to Twin Peaks claiming to have been in Seattle on business where she learns from Pete that Catherine died in the sawmill fire. Jose also refuses to give Trueman an explanation about where she was during this time. Also, a mysterious Japanese businessman, named Mr. Tojamura, checks into the Great Northern Hotel. The mysterious Asian man, identifying himself as Jonathan Lee, Josie's cousin from Hong Kong, meets with Josie and informs her that her job in Twin Peaks of collecting the insurance from the sawmill fire is nearly done and that their boss wants them back in Hong Kong soon. Jonathan also beats up Hank Jennings for threatening Josie.

27 October 1990Leland's arraignment is held at the Roadhouse where Judge Sternwood releases him on his own will. Judge Sternwood also rules that Leo Johnson is not competent to stand trial for the sawmill fire. Meanwhile, Donna enlists Maddy's help to help her steal Laura's secret diary away from Harold Smith. Elsewhere, Bobby and Shelly plan over make her house to assist Leo's return to take bad-care of him, while Mr. Pickle gets stuck in a mechanical device showing them how to work it. Cooper figures out that Audrey is being held captive at One-Eyed Jacks and asks Truman to help him sneak into the place to rescue her. Hank is ordered by Ben Horne to follow Cooper to make sure he delivers the ransom money and get Audrey back. Big Ed brings the crazy and delusional Nadie home from the hospital. At One-Eyed Jacks, Jean Renault plots with Blackie's sister, Nancy, to steal the ransom money for themselves after it is delivered. Also, the mysterious Japanese businessman, Mr. Tojamura, approaches Ben and offers him a $5 million check for the purchase of Ghostwood Estates. Andy, covering for Lucy desk job while she's on vacation in Tacoma, learns that he is not sterile after all.
Season 2, Episode 6: Episode #2.6
3 November 1990James and Donna reaffirm their love after he saves her and Maddy from Harold Smith's angry attack, but are forced to leave Laura's secret diary behind. Cooper informs Ben of his rescue of Audrey from One-Eyed Jacks, and Truman identifies Jean Renault as the mastermind behind the whole thing. Later, Gordon Cole, Cooper's boss, arrives in Twin Peaks to assist Cooper's investigation and to help find the mysterious one-armed man who holds a clue to the identify of Laura Palmer's killer. Cole also delivers a chess moves message from the fugitive Windom Earle. Meanwhile, Bobby and Shelly bring the catatonic Leo home from the hospital to care for him, but they are disappointed of the low amount of insurance money they get. Big Ed continues to deal with the crazy Nadine and her super-human powers, while Jonathan threatens Josie that he will kill Sheriff Truman if she refuses to return to Hong Kong with him. Josie then demands the insurance money for the sawmill from Ben who gives her Mr. Tojamura's $5 million check. Interogating the one-armed man, Cooper withholds his medication where 'Mike' emerges who gives them information about the evil spirit Killer Bob, Laura Palmer's killer, who inhabits a person that lives in Twin Peaks.
Season 2, Episode 7: Episode #2.7
10 November 1990Cooper, Truman, and Cole take the one-armed man to the Great Northern Hotel which is hosting a USO stop-over in their search for Bob where 'Mike' shrieks and panics when Ben Horne approaches. Hawk searches Harold Smith's house for Laura Palmer's secret diary only to find Harold dead from a suicide, and his house and Laura's diary torn apart by him. Meanwhile, Maddy says goodbye to James as she prepares to leave Twin Peaks. Shelley tells Norma that she's quitting working at the Double R Diner to care for Leo, while Bobby and Mike find a mini-cassette recording in Leo's boots that reveal Ben giving Leo instructions to burn down the sawmill. Audrey tells her father that she knows about Laura's employment at One-Eyed Jacks, and she tells Cooper about Ben's involvement in which Cooper and Truman arrest Ben as a suspect in Laura's murder. Also, Mr. Tojamura plans to buy the Ghostwood Estates and when he learns of Ben's arrest, Mr. Tojamura goes to the Blue Pines B&B and surprises Pete Martell by revealing that 'he' is actually the missing Catherine Martell in disguise. In the climatic twist, Cooper receives another message from the Giant who tells Cooper that "it's happening again", while across town Maddy accidentally learns the identity of Laura's killer, and who Bob inhabits.
Season 2, Episode 8: Episode #2.8
17 November 1990With Ben Horne in jail for Laura Palmer's murder, Jerry tries to arrange a defense for him. Cooper doubts Ben's guilt, but Truman thinks otherwise. Pete later visits Ben with a taunting audio message from Catherine saying that she only will back up his alibi if he surrenders all his property over to her. Elsewhere, the real killer, Leland (under the direction of Bob) stuffs the dead Maddie Ferguson in his golf bag and goes for a joyride, and leaving evidence to implicate Ben. Meanwhile, Norma's estranged mother Vivian Symthe, arrives for a visit with her new husband Ernie Niles, while Hank reappears after being gone for several days and reveals to have known Ernie from time in prison. Lucy arrives back in Twin Peaks with her visiting, equally simpleton older sister, Gwen Morton, where Andy tells Lucy he wants to get back together with her. Also, the one-armed man attempts to escape from police custody with a warning that Bob is nearby.
Season 2, Episode 9: Episode #2.9
1 December 1990With the discovery of Maddy Ferguson's dead body, Cooper, Truman, aided by Albert Rosenfeld, push their investigation into full-drive. Catherine, disguised once against as Mr. Tojamura, visits Ben in jail and tells him that she will give him his alibi if he signs the sawmill and the Ghostwood Developments over to her. Ben does, and not surprisingly, Catherine goes back on her word and leaves him without making a statement. Meanwhile, Leland/Bob learns about Laura's secret diary from Donna, who learns about Maddy's murder from Sheriff Truman. James does not take the news of Maddy's fate easily and hits the road on his motorcycle. Andy also learns about Lucy's tryst with the smug Dick Tremayne, and Lucy tells them that she's keeping her baby and will choose one of them to be the father. Norma continues to deal with her difficult mother who constantly criticizes and puts down her attempts to bond. Donna follows a lead from the late Harold Smith leading to a mysterious page from Laura's secret diary, and also discovers the appearance of a different Mrs. Tremond (not the old lady and her grandson whom were apparent spirits). Cooper assembles all the suspects present at the Roadhouse where a flashback vision from Laura Palmer reveals the identity of the killer, and of Killer Bob.
Season 2, Episode 10: Episode #2.10
8 December 1990Three days after Leland's death following his confession to having killed Laura Palmer while under the control of the evil spirit Bob, Sarah tries to adjust herself to this turn of events with Cooper's consultation. As Cooper prepares to leave Twin Peaks with the Laura Palmer case closed, a new twist comes when Roger Hardy, an agent with FBI Internal Affairs, and a Canadian Mountie, named Preston King, show up where Cooper gets suspended by the FBI for his unauthorized actions in Canada, and Mountie King reveals that Cooper's rescue of Audrey Horne from One-Eyed Jacks ruined a sting operation the RCPM set up to arrest Jean Renault in which the drugs used were found in Cooper's car. Meanwhile, Norma's mother, Vivian, leaves town after revealing that she's the M.T. Wentz that everyone talks about and the one responsible for the bad review of the Double R Diner. Hank also takes Ernie Niles to One-Eyed Jacks where they meet with Jean Renault who wants them to traffic some cocaine for him. Elsehwere, Big Ed and Dr. Jacoby persuade the vice principal of Twin Peaks High School to enroll Nadine as a student to satisfy her delusion that she's still in high school. Also, Bobby unsuccessfully tries to blackmail the distraught Ben Horne with the incriminating tape of him talking with Leo, while Audrey gives Bobby some advice about how to confront her father.
Season 2, Episode 11: Episode #2.11
15 December 1990Following the mysterious disappearance of Major Briggs, Cooper and Truman investigate his research with the Air Force which involved in classified dealings with paranormal events which includes an unofficial search for a place called the White Lodge and the Black Lodge. Cooper refuses to offer a defense to Agent Hardy and instead confuses the IA agent with more mystical talk. Later, a transvestite DEA agent, named Dennis (Denise) Bryson, arrives to investigate the drug charges against Cooper. All of Twin Peaks gathers for the wedding of Doug Milford to a young gold digger, named Lana Budding. On the road, James stops in a small town several miles from Twin Peaks where a young wealthy heiress, named Evelyn Marsh, picks him up and offers him a job to fix her husband's car. Back in Twin Peaks, Nadine tries to win Mike Nelson's affections with her super-human strength which instead nets the eyes of the school's wrestling coach. Ben Horne is further distraught after learning from Hank that Jean Renault has ousted him as the owner of One-Eyed Jacks and Hank is now under Renault's employment, while Catherine also reveals her presence back in Twin Peaks. Dick Treymene tries to train himself for parenthood when he takes a young, rambunctious orphan boy, named Little Nicky, under his wing to impress Lucy. Meanwhile, Josie suddenly shows up on Truman's doorstep revealing that she's run away from her employer, a South African gangster named Thomas Eckard, who's now looking for her. When Truman refuses to help Josie, she goes to Catherine who agrees to help under her own conditions. Also, it's revealed that Andrew Packard, whom Eckerd hired Josie to kill, who subcontracted Hank to do the deed, is alive and plans with Catherine to bring down Josie.
Season 2, Episode 12: Episode #2.12
12 January 1991Ben Horne continues to slip deeper into insanity while Bobby tries to win his admiration by tailing Hank Jennings and photographs him in a drug dealing meeting. Cooper looks into real estate to buy in thought of staying in Twin Peaks and uncovers recent drug activity at a run-down house called Dead Dog Farm. Audrey helps Cooper prove his innocence of the drug dealing charges by showing him the photos Bobby took, in which Cooper and Agent Bryson approach the weak-willed Ernie Niles to persuade him to turn in Jean Renault, Hank and the corrupt Mountie King. Meanwhile, Truman investigates when Dougie Milford dies from a heart attack on his wedding night, in which Mayor Milford insists that Lana Budding be charged with murder through sex. Cooper and Truman receive a visit from a visiting Air Force colonel investigating Major Briggs' disappearance who tells them about the Major's top-secret search for the so-called White Lodge. Elsewhere, Dick Tremayne takes Little Nicky out camping where the youth's attitude scares him after learning from Nicky's case worker that his parents died under mysterious circumstances. Nadine continues to try to win Mike Nelson's affections by body-slamming him while trying out for the school's wrestling team. Catherine and Pete Martell continue to gloat and taunt Josie who now works for them as a maid. At the Marsh estate, James learns more about Eveleyn's troubled marriage from her chauffeur, Malcolm, in which he cannot resist temptation to the femme fatal.
Season 2, Episode 13: Episode #2.13
19 January 1991Following Major Briggs mysterious reappearance, Cooper and Truman are frustrated as they question him to learn his whereabouts during his absence. At the same time, Cooper assists Bryson and Truman with setting up Ernie Niles to arrest Jean Renault and Mountie King at the Dead Dog Farm house. But the sting goes bad due to Niles nervousness in which a standoff ensues. Cooper then trades himself for Bryson and Niles and his held at gunpoint. Meanwhile, Hank finally discovers the romantic relationship between Norma and Big Ed, in which he attempts to beat up Ed, but gets attacked and pulverized by the super-strong Nadine. At the Great Northern Hotel, Audrey sees Ben slipping further into insanity by reenacting the Civil War in his office and thinking that he's General Robert E. Lee. Audrey asks Bobby for help with her father's condition. Mike Nelson continues being persuaded by Nadine. Dick Tremayne persuades Andy to help him look up the past of Little Nicky. At the Marsh estate, James continues romancing Evelyn under her husband's nose. Also, Bobby has another argument with Shelly about taking care of the catatonic Leo, who does not remain that for long...

2 February 1991Cooper and Truman discuss the opening moves by the fugitive Windom Earle over the discovery of a dead body in Truman's office which is the opening move of a deadly chess game when each pawn is taken, a person dies. Cooper also confides in Truman about his past with Windom Earle and his involvement with Earle's wife that may have pushed him over the edge. Following Leo's rampage and attempt to kill Shelly, he fees into the woods, and ends up in the cabin housing the shadowy Windom Earle. Meanwhile, Andy confides in Lucy about his and Dick's suspicion concerning Little Nicky. Lucy then asks Dr. Hayward for help who then finally clears the mystery about Nicky. Major Briggs also confides in Cooper and Truman about his work for the Air Force's classified search for the so-called White Lodge. At the Marsh estate, James meets Evelyn's husband for the first time, who turns out to be a nice guy. In the nearby town, Donna arrives with money for James, and instead meets Evelyn who tells her that James has left town already. Back in Twin Peaks, Big Ed confides in Dr. Hayward about Nadine dating Mike Nelson. Dr. Jacoby also clears grifter Lana Budding of any misdeeds concerning the death of Doug Milford, but it takes some persuasion from the elderly the senile Mayor Milford to convince him otherwise. Meanwhile, Catherine reveals to Pete that Andrew Packard is alive and they let him in on their plans to bring down Josie by contacting her former boss/lover, the ruthless South African businessman, Thomas Eckhardt who arrives in Twin Peaks looking for Josie. Also, Audrey and Bobby ask Jerry Horne for help concerning Ben's delusion who continues to reenact the Civil War, while Dr. Jacoby persuades Ben to push for a Confederate victory.
Season 2, Episode 15: Episode #2.15
9 February 1991James becomes a fugitive when Evelyn's husband is found murdered. James teams up with Donna to try to prove his innocence, while Evelyn is pressured by her abusive boyfriend, Malcolm, to continue their charade of playing the "victims" to James's doings. Back in Twin Peaks, Albert Rosenfield arrives to deliver to Cooper and Truman the classified file on the fugitive Windom Earle and of his motivations. Cooper asks Pete to help him in his chess moves to try to combat Earle's moves. Meanwhile, Catherine contacts Thomas Eckhardt who learns that Josie is now her maid and under her protection. Bobby and Shelly give their statement about Leo's rampage and disappearance, and also that Hank Jennings that was the one who shot Leo that night. Truman questions Josie about a murder back in Seattle, while Cooper finally learns that it was Josie who shot him that night after finding a black vicuña coat in her laundry. At Windom Earle's cabin, he holds the half-witted Leo against his will with an electric collar and forcible recruits Leo as his henchman to help him stalk Cooper. Big Ed and Norma finally consummate their relationship, while Nadine finds out and reacts with indifference. Meanwhile, Ben continues reenacting the Civil War, while Audrey, Bobby, Jerry, and Dr. Jacoby dress up in Civil War costumes to implement the 'Appomattox Seneario' to finally bring Ben back to reality.

Season 2, Episode 16: Episode #2.16
16 February 1991Cooper and Truman try to outline the moves left by Windom Earle by investigation more of his past. At the same time, Earle has Leo write a love poem and sends a piece to Audrey, Donna, and Shelly. Meanwhile, Andrew Packard reveals that he's alive to both Josie and Thomas Eckhardt to try to bring them to kill each other as part of Catherine's evil plans. Audrey meets a potential new beau in the form of John Justice Wheeler, a business associate who comes to town to help the newly sane Ben Horne thwart Catherine's development plans for Ghostwood Estates by holding a campaign to save the endangered Pine Weasel which resides on the development grounds. Shelly comes back to work at the Double R Diner, while Agent Rosenfeld leaves town and persuades Cooper to arrest Josie before she plans to escape, while Truman arrests Hank for parole violation and attempting to kill Leo. But Hank reveals that he and Josie were the ones who conspired to murder Andrew Packard. Norma visits Hank before he's sent back to prison to tell him that she wants a divorce. Also, Donna finds herself saying goodbye to James who, although cleared of murder charges, tells her that he must follow his own path.
Season 2, Episode 17: Episode #2.17
28 March 1991Truman is suffering from grief in the wake of Josie's unexplained death, and confides himself to the Bookhouse, drinking heavily. Cooper is forced to take over as temporary sheriff of Twin Peaks, and has Deputy Hawk help him follow more clues to Windom Earle's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Ben Horne plans to put on a charity event fashion show at the Great Northern in support of the endangered pine weasel, with financing from Wheeler and Dick Treymene as the MC, who disdains help from Tim Pinkle. Audrey continues flirting with Wheeler, while Andy tries to get back together with Lucy. Major Briggs and Margaret the Log Lady discover that they have the same mysterious markings on their bodies. Norma's younger sister, Annie Blackburn, arrives in town and reveals that she's left the convent where she was living for the past five years since age 17, and claims that she's ready to face the world. Windom Earle reads the newspaper of Cooper's latest chess moves, and becomes angry after immediately figuring out that Cooper is getting help. In the wake of Thomas Eckardt's murder, his sinister and energetic assistant, Ms. Jones, puts his final plan of revenge into motion, first by delivery a mysterious box to Catherine, and later targets Truman. In disguise, Windom Earle individually contacts Donna, Shelly, and Audrey to chat with them about the mysterious poem that he sent them. Also, Mike Nelson and Nadine finally decide to consummate their growing romance by checking into the Great Northern Hotel as a married couple.
Season 2, Episode 18: Episode #2.18
4 April 1991Truman survives the attempt on his life by Ms. Jones, and returns to his job. Gordon Cole returns to Twin Peaks to reinstate Cooper into the FBI and to bring the classified file on Windom Earle, who is now eavesdropping on the police station with a hidden microphone in a bonsai plant. When Cole flirts with Shelly at the Double R Diner, her seductive appearance somehow makes him hear her voice. Enlightened that he can hear (at least her voice) Cole asks Shelly out on a date. Shelly is somewhat embarrassed, but flattered at the attention, accepts. Audrey continues pursuing Wheeler, but is thwarted by her father who sends her to Seattle on business. Donna enlists Audrey's help in investigating Donna's mother who may have a past connection with Ben Horne. Windom Earle continues stalking Cooper as well as making contact (in disguise) with Audrey, Shelly, and Donna. When Annie sees the symbols that Cooper drew from descriptions from Major Briggs and the Log Lady, and tells them they look similar to markings in Owl Cave, Cooper, Truman and deputies Andy and Hawk make a midnight trip to the cave where they discover mysterious petroglyph markings. Also, Donna receives a postcard from the departed James Hurley, as well as a invitation to join the annual Miss Twin Peaks Beauty Pagent.
Season 2, Episode 19: Episode #2.19
11 April 1991Cooper, Truman and the deputies find new markings discovered by Windom Earle in the form of a large map-like petroglyph. Meanwhile, Windom Earle picks up a heavy metal roadie where he confides in his intentions to find the mysterious Black Lodge, and then kills him as another chess pawn. Leo begins to show disillusionment to Earle over his methods, but is held in check. Catherine shows Pete and Truman the mysterious puzzle box left behind by Thomas Eckhardt and upon opening it, reveals another box inside it. As the town prepares for the annual Miss Twin Peaks Beauty Pagent, the conniving Lana Budding Milford enters as a contestant and persuades the elderly and senile Mayor Milford, who's one of the judges, to vote in her favor. Elsewhere, Cooper continues dating Annie, unaware that Windom Earle knows about their newfound romance. Cooper finally learns about the love poem that Shelly, Donna, and Audrey received from Windom Earle, and correctly concludes that Leo is also working for Earle. Gordon Cole goes on a date with Shelly and kisses her goodbye as he leaves Twin Peaks, in which Bobby sees it. Dick Tremayne hosts a wine-tasting fund raiser at the Great Northern for Ben Horne's opposition to Catherine's development plans for Ghostwood. Donna continues to investigate her parents past which may involve Ben Horne. With Audrey out of town, Wheeler confides in Cooper about his feelings for Audrey, and tells Ben that he must leave for Brazil to take over his partner's business.
Season 2, Episode 20: Episode #2.20
18 April 1991Cooper and Truman try to figure out Windom Earle's next move following the discovery of the heavy metal youth's body in a large chess pawn. Meanwhile, Wheeler searches for Audrey before he has to leave down for Brazil, while Audrey tries to do the same and asks Pete for help who's still mourning the loss of Josie. Catherine shows Andrew Packard the puzzle box, who manages to get it open to reveal a small silver box. Lucy also decides to enlist in the Miss Twin Peaks Beauty Pagent tells Andy that she will choose who the father of her unborn baby will be. Cooper also contacts Donna, Shelly, and Audrey where he confides about Windom Earle and warns them to be careful. But incredibly, the lovesick Cooper does not think about warning Annie who also decides to enter the Twin Peaks beauty pageant. Lana continues her plans to fix the beauty pageant in her favor. Also, Major Briggs is abducted by Earle and Leo where they interrogate him for information to what the Owl Cave markings mean, and learn that they are a actual map to the Black Lodge.
Season 2, Episode 21: Episode #2.21
10 June 1991Leo releases Major Briggs with a plea to save Shelly. Windom Earle finds out and retaliates by tying up Leo to a lethal device and leaves his cabin and Leo to an uncertain fate. The delusional and dehydrated Major Briggs is found by Deputy Hawk and returned to the police station where Briggs makes little sense about his captivity, but leaves clues to how to find the Black Lodge. Meanwhile, Ben continues to seek a path to goodness, while Audrey confides in him that her business trip to Seattle reveals the Twin Peaks Savings & Loan is supporting Catherine's development plans. Andrew and Pete manage to get the last silver box open to reveal a safety deposit key. Lana seduces Dick Tremayne to get him to vote for her in the beauty pageant while Mr. Pinkle rehearses dance moves with the other contestants. Nadine reveals to Dr. Jacoby that she wants to marry Mike Nelson as soon as Big Ed and Norma are married. Cooper and Truman discuss more about the power and significance of the Black Lodge as Andy finally discovers that the cave painting is a map to the lodge itself. Donna finally learns the secret between Ben Horne and her mother: Ben is actually her biological father. Lucy finally chooses Andy to be the father for her baby. Cooper and Annie finally consummate their relationship. The Miss Twin Peaks Beauty Pagent gets underway as Windom Earle arrives at the event disguised as the Log Lady to abduct Annie.
Season 2, Episode 22: Episode #2.22
10 June 1991In the cliff-hanging series final, Cooper must face his inter-most fears as he tracks down Windom Earle, who has abducted Annie, and takes her into the hellish realm of the Black Lodge. Meanwhile, Nadine, wounded by a hit on the head during the beauty pageant, wakes up now back to her old self, and becomes very upset when she sees Big Ed with Norma. Donna struggles to control herself from Ben Horne's news, which leads to a fistfight between him and Dr. Hayward who angrily knocks Ben into a fireplace mantle for interfering with his family, and apparently killing him. While Truman and Andy wait and wait for Cooper to return from the Black Lodge, Andrew and Pete steal the safety deposit box key and go to the Twin Peaks Savings & Loan where Audrey is staging a feeble act of civil disobedience. But when Andrew and Pete open Thomas Eckhardt's final box, they instead find a bomb... which explodes. Major Briggs receives a cryptic message from Windom Earle in the Black Lodge through the conduit of Sarah Palmer.
