The King family have lived in a small farming community called Avonlea on Prince Edward Island for generations. In the early 1900's, the eldest of the five King siblings, Hetty, oversees the goings-on in the family and ensures everything runs to her high and rigid standards. Eldest brother, Alec, and his family run the King farm. Youngest sister Olivia, who still is treated as the baby by the others despite being a grown woman, is the third of the siblings still living in Avonlea. Road to Avonlea was an excellent family show. It always left you wondering what was going to happen next, especially on the 2 part episodes, while watching and then says "To be continued" it makes you want to throw the television across the room. I would recommend it for anyone.
