Barbara Hall, creator and executive producer of CBS' Emmy-nominated drama Joan of Arcadia, has signed a two-year, seven-figure overall development deal with Paramount Network Television. The deal gives CBS a first-look option at any new projects Hall develops through Paramount. She also will continue to serve as the showrunner of Joan, which is produced by Sony Pictures TV and CBS Prods., through at least the 2005-06 season. Hall has a long, distinguished track record at CBS. Before launching Joan last season, Hall was the executive producer of CBS' Amy Brenneman-Tyne Daly drama Judging Amy and was a senior writer-producer on the eye network's medical drama Chicago Hope.
