Both sitcoms appeared in 1990, were set in beauty salons, and centered on a pair of African-American sisters. "Attitude" had a more polished feel than "S&S," but both were fairly nondescript, with a lamentably low laugh count. Sheryl Lee Ralph, in an early role, played the more responsible older sibling to Phyllis Stickney. Several cast members have gone on to much greater fame since the show died an early death.
