Audio/visual unsynchronised

After the first round of the Video Armageddon is over, we can see the monitors as Jimmy is walking away. The game continues to play on all the monitors, despite there being no-one playing, showing that the video is all pre-recorded.

When Spanky is driving the truck he is turning the wheel left and right. If he was doing that on the road the 18 wheeler would have flipped killing everyone inside.

Haley said that Jimmy had trouble with the games "Rampage" and "Dr. Chaos", but those two weren't part of the Playchoice 10 series. Rampage was a self-cabinet arcade game, while Dr. Chaos was NES-only.

Continuity

In the first encounter between Putnam and Sam, Sam pulls out a shovel and repeatedly hits Putnam's car as he tries to leave. If you watch closely, Sam destroys the front left headlight twice. After smashing it the first time, a few seconds later it shows him hit it again as if it had not been hit yet.

About 33 minutes into the movie, we see Corey, Jimmy, and Haley catching a ride in the back of a blue pick-up truck with some Navajo Indians, one of whom introduces himself in Navajo language. However, if you look closely at an earlier scene at the 27:30 mark, we see them getting out of the same truck with the same Indians. There is a continuity error here because the kids had parted ways with the truck after the first scene and got a ride with a biker gang. The two aforementioned scenes were obviously shot together and the editors overlooked or ignored this continuity problem.

During the "Send Me An Angel" segue there is a scene showing Sam and Nick in the truck traveling. If you look closely that is the same exact scene from earlier in the movie before they got the truck damaged.

After playing Double Dragon at the bus stop, Corey remarks that Jimmy scored 50,000 points. Jimmy achieved this in less than two minutes of play when in reality it would take playing through nearly the entire game to do so, which would take much more time.

Factual errors

Haley announces that Jimmy has reached "470,000 and climbing on F1 Dream" while playing against the three rednecks in the arcade. The marquee on the game is wrong and the game is really called Top Speed.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Putnam arrives at the Video Armageddon, Lucas is standing on the steps of the building. Lucas tells Putnam which way Corey, Jimmy, and Haley ran. But up until this point, Lucas and Putnam have never met, so Lucas should not have recognized Putnam. This is incorrectly regarded as a goof because even though there was never an on screen meeting between Lucas and Putnam when Putnam was on the phone with Mrs Bateman he stated that, he had got it from this kid named Lucas that they were headed to the convention. This was the same scene where he has the tow truck guy tow Sam's car. Lucas would be able to recognize Putnam on the steps

Revealing mistakes

When Lucas is using the power glove to steer at the beginning of the "Rad Racer" game, he turns the glove to the right, but the car veers left, indicating he isn't really playing the game.

As Lucas plays "Rad Racer", he is moving his hand like he is behind the wheel of a car, making small precision adjustments in his steering from left to right. However, the Nintendo Entertainment System used strictly a digital input system, meaning that it wouldn't be able to pick up precision ranges of motion like an analogue controller could and would give the full range of motion no matter how subtle you push or turn. He would be all over or off the road with how he was twisting the glove and not making the skillful turns and passes shown on-screen.
