Storyline

Two young men are trying to make their way in a corporation. One on charm, the other on hard work. When they go to the president (Bernie) with a serious financial error on a printout, he pretends to be thrilled and invites them to his beach house for the weekend. He actually plans on having them killed. Bernie is also fooling around with the girlfriend of his mafia partner. When the partner has Bernie killed, the boys end up having to pretend Bernie is still alive as the frustrated hit man tries time and time again to complete the job. Trivia

Richard suggests they go to Jones Beach with all the syringes. This is probably in reference to the infamous "Syringe Tide" in 1987-1988 when medical waste washed up on several beaches in New York/New Jersey, costing massive losses in tourist dollars. See more »

Goofs

When Larry and Richard arrive at the ferry to Hampton island, the ferry moves quickly when they jump on. In the next shot, the ferry is at a dead stop. See more »

Die Laughing
26 May 2002 | by (Trumansburg, New York) – See all my reviews

This movie is great from start to finish. The characters are well developed and Andrew McCarthy(The Joy Luck Club) and Jonathan Silverman(The Single Guy) play wonderfully off of each other. The Dialogue was better then that of any modern made comedy I have seen. This is a dark comedy but for the family which is something I have never seen done before. This movie is unique and over the head of anyone who didn't like it.
