There was a title similarity between this feature film and actress Meryl Streep
's previous picture A Cry in the Dark
(1988). Both titles had a word associated with demonology, "Devil" with this movie and "Evil" with the earlier film. Further, the words "She" and "Angels" are both associated with the female gender. Moreover, Streep would also go on to star in two later productions with titles where two of these words would appear again, in Angels in America
(2003) and The Devil Wears Prada
(2006). See more
