'Pretty Little Liars' casts 'Mystic Pizza' star Annabeth Gish

The therapist is in on "Pretty Little Liars."

PopWrap broke the news that "Mystic Pizza" and "Shag" (What up, Pudge?!) star Annabeth Gish will be joining ABC Family's hit show when it returns for its second season in June. Gish will be playing Anne Sullivan, a therapist assigned to speak with each Pll due to all the Ian-related drama in the finale.

When we spoke with "Pll's" executive producer Marlene King post-finale, she teased the therapist storyline and Anne's role in the girls' lives: "Their parents get together and force them to see a therapist to deal with their issues about Alison and this unhealthy obsession with Ian. The therapist is going to play a large role in the summer season and the therapist is going to be someone they think about being honest about 'A' with."

Knowing "Pll," we're pretty sure Anne Sullivan will end up having some secrets of her own, »

Vamp DVD Review

21 February 2011 6:00 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

In an effort to get into a fraternity two friends, Keith (Chris Makepeace) and Aj (Robert Rusler) travel to the ‘wrong side of town’ to find a stripper to hire for a college party. Taking along the nerdy Duncan (Gedde Watanabe), simply because he has a car, they find that beneath the already seedy surface lies an even seedier underbelly of vampires in the After Dark strip club. The club is run by the sleazy Vic (Sandy Baron) and the star attraction is the frightening Katrina (Grace Jones).

Vamp boasts a cast of cult eighties stars, including Robert Rusler (Weird Science, Thrashin’), Chris Makepeace (Meatballs), Gedde Watanabe (Sixteen Candles) and Deedee Pfeiffer (That’s right, Michelle’s sister) and the inclusion of the iconic and extravagant Grace Jones as a key vampire/stripper also represents a pretty inspired piece of casting.

The premise is also pretty fantastic for a film of this type, »

Interview: SNL's Terry Sweeney was the First Openly Gay Regular on Network Television (and Lived to Tell About It!)

5 January 2011 8:47 AM, PST | AfterElton.com | See recent AfterElton.com news »

In the 1985-86 season of Saturday Night Live, comedian Terry Sweeney made history by becoming the first (and still the only) openly gay cast member of the landmark late-night comedy show.

But the achievement was more notable even than that: Sweeney was also the first out actor with a regular role on broadcast television ever.

And what did he get for his bravery? Despite the fact that Sweeney had performed one of SNL's bonafide break-out characters (a parody of a particularly vapid Nancy Reagan), he was unceremoniously fired, along with most of the rest of a cast that also included Robert Downey, Jr., Joan Cusack, and Randy Quaid, at the end of a season that was widely regarded as a failure.

As an out gay actor at the height of the AIDS crisis, Sweeney didn't work again for ten years.

But Sweeney was a survivor, eventually finding work as his first love, »
