Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

In the opening credits Dan and Alice are seen having sex. (Nothing explicit is shown.)

Alice seen in the shower. She is seen nude from a distance and through frosted glass, nothing explicit. She is briefly shown nude from the side from a distance. Her right nipple is visible for about an eighth of a second, though the scene is so fast most viewers will miss it. She is then seen naked from behind.

It is implied that Freddy's Mother was raped by 100 inmates of a prison, after mistakenly getting locked in with them for a couple days.

Alice becomes pregnant after sleeping with Dan.

Violence & Gore

A woman gives birth to a son, who is horribly deformed. Contains some blood.

Dan is transformed into a human bike, the parts tear his knuckles and ankles open and attach themselves to him.

Freddy burns off his own arm by peering wine on it.

Greta is force fed her stomach is cut open, Freddy feeds her own organs, heart, guts etc. (Her cheeks have been expanded.)

Mark is sucked in a comic book where he is transformed into a piece of paper that Freddy rips to shreds.(His bloody arm is seen afterwards.)

The souls of Freddy's victims (in the forms of their faces, attached to his body by a slimy chord) tear through his chest, and pull a baby version of him out of his body through his chest.

Profanity

The Nightmare on Elm Street films range from having anywhere from 1 to 6 uses of f--k, and 1-2 uses each of h--l, b-----d, b---h, and d--n.

Some characters drink beer at a pool party.

Freddy uses wine to mutilate his arm, then exclaims, "Bad year, Dan!"

This film is dark in tone, and may disturb more sensitive viewers.

The scene where Greta is force-fed her own organs might disturb some viewers, as her face becomes bloated.

The ending scene where Jacob looks like Freddy might also disturb some viewers.

The birth scene could disturb more sensitive viewers.

In all honesty, most kids who are thirteen or older can probably handle this movie.
