We are all very well aware of the fascination that Scarface holds for rappers and wannabe thugs in the hood. However, very few devote their time and attention to methodically study the effect that Scarface has had on Bollywood leading men over the years. Amitabh got his wish fulfilled when he essayed the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in Agneepath. He also managed to win accolades for his role. Yours truly never thought very highly of his over the top, scenery chewing act though. Mithunda costarred in the above mentioned movie. However, I guess, he wanted his own "Scarface". That's how Mujrim got made. Nothing new here. However, this is far more faithful to the original( the De Palma movie ). A mediocre effort. However, you can go for it in case you have not seen Scarface or are a die hard Mithun fan.
