Trivia

In the film, there is mention of the last Apollo spacecraft being launched. Kennedy Space Center's Apollo-era infrastructure was modified for the Space Shuttle between 1975-80 and two Saturn V boosters (SA-514 and SA-515) were used as museum displays. There are two Saturn Vs used as museum exhibitions - the one at Kennedy Space Center has the second and third stages of SA-514, the SIC-T test stage (repainted in its Apollo 11 livery), and a boilerplate, BP-30. NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX has the only Saturn V display with flight-worthy components - the first stage of SA-514, the second stage of SA-515 (originally earmarked for the backup Skylab space station known to NASA as Skylab B), and the third stage of SA-513 (leftover stage from the canceled Apollo 18 mission; its booster was used to launch Skylab into orbit - Skylab was constructed from S-IVB #212 from an unused Saturn IB booster). The JSC Saturn V also has an incomplete Apollo CSM, CSM #115 (its service module has its booster flaring missing). There were two surplus Apollo lunar modules on display, LM-2 (on display at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.), and LM-9 (originally earmarked for Apollo 15's original designation as an "H" mission (short duration stays on the Moon with 2 LEVAs (moonwalks). LM-13 was partially completed; at the time of filming, LM-13 was still in pieces until HBO's From the Earth to the Moon was filmed (LM-13 was completed and used as a film prop). See more »

good flick with some weird ideas
13 March 2005 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

i loved this movie and not for a post ST Koenig or evil dead Campbell, but because it had a strange twist on what may have happened to earth in the past, they were prob the legends of Atlantis and shows us a idea of why we should not let our toys get smarter then the ones who build them. yes there are a lot of poor cheesy jokes and the plot was lame in places but over all it was a good flick if a bit gory in the reuse of humans for parts. It does have a lot in common with terminator, aliens and virus but sci-fi does have a tend to copy it self, but if you want to see a good film with some good ideas then this one is for you, it is a thrill ride if you don't think to hard
