London, August 14: Lady Gaga has issued a video ordering her 'Little Monsters' not to buy her comeback single, in a bid to take down Katy Perry, whose latest single 'Roar' secured the second position on Us itunes Chart.

The 27-year-old then appeared naked under a flashing light with a glass shield over her face in a 47-second clip as negative messages flashed up about her career and comeback, Metro.co.uk reported.

Her odd tactic then urged fans not to buy her comeback single on iTunes.

The video then urges fans not to applaud for her, and not to dance to the song at all.

Lady Gaga releases 'Applause' early to avoid leaks

12 August 2013 1:19 PM, PDT | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

Mother Monster doesn't want anyone hacking her music, you hear?

In an effort to avoid a leaked version of her new single "Applause" hitting the Internet, Lady Gaga went ahead and released the single on Monday (Aug. 12) a full week ahead of schedule. (The song is the first single off "Artpop," due Nov. 11.)

After snippets of the pop star's song went public on Saturday, Gaga sprung to action to ensure that the version of "Applause" her fans were hearing was the finalized, proper version. "A Pop Music Emergency Is Underway 911," she tweeted, followed by, "Due To Hackers An Abundance Of Low/High Quality Leaks ... We Issue This Pop Music Emergency ... Monsters Spread The Word."

With her Little Monsters likely salivating at the mouth over what she had up her sleeve, she then tweeted, "My New Single 'Applause' Is Out Today And Can Be Heard On United States Radio In 15 Minutes. »

Lady Gaga loses an arm for 'Artpop' promo: See the 'Applause' pic

Lady Gaga's promotional campaign for her upcoming album, "Artpop," continued Thursday (August 8) when she unveiled an interesting photo ... though this one features only topless, not full-frontal, nudity.

The artistic pop singer posted a photo to Twitter in which she's staring longingly at a prosthetic arm while wearing a clear plastic safety mask to remind her Little Monsters that they can pre-order her new album in less than two weeks (August 19). She then accompanied the shot by telling fans she couldn't wait for them to see her "Applause" video, and that she was listening to her album.

"I know maybe this upsets you, as you'd very much like to hear it," Lady Gaga wrote. "I share these personal feelings because If I Had To Go Another Month Without Playing The New Music I Think I'd Chew My Arm Off." She then shared the photo, writing, "This is that arm."

It seems Deadmau5 now has two legions of fans wishing the worst on him. After rubbing Justin Bieber fans the wrong way last month, Deadmau5, aka Joel Zimmerman, dissed Lady Gaga for a video she did with performance artist Marina Abramovic on Wednesday.

As reported by NME and found on Deadmau5's Twitter account, the musician tweeted with a link to "The Abramovic Method By Lady Gaga," a video showing Lady Gaga holding a note for seconds while lying on a hardwood floor and then standing in a brook. Although NME reported Deadmau5 removed the tweet, it still remains on his account.

Lady Gaga took to her Little Monsters fan site earlier this week to open up about the single, writing, "'Artpop' as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers.
