Mother Monster doesn't want anyone hacking her music, you hear?
In an effort to avoid a leaked version of her new single "Applause" hitting the Internet, Lady Gaga went ahead and released the single on Monday (Aug. 12) a full week ahead of schedule. (The song is the first single off "Artpop," due Nov. 11.)
After snippets of the pop star's song went public on Saturday, Gaga sprung to action to ensure that the version of "Applause" her fans were hearing was the finalized, proper version. "A Pop Music Emergency Is Underway 911," she tweeted, followed by, "Due To Hackers An Abundance Of Low/High Quality Leaks ... We Issue This Pop Music Emergency ... Monsters Spread The Word."
With her Little Monsters likely salivating at the mouth over what she had up her sleeve, she then tweeted, "My New Single 'Applause' Is Out Today And Can Be Heard On United States Radio In 15 Minutes. »
Lady Gaga's promotional campaign for her upcoming album, "Artpop," continued Thursday (August 8) when she unveiled an interesting photo ... though this one features only topless, not full-frontal, nudity.
The artistic pop singer posted a photo to Twitter in which she's staring longingly at a prosthetic arm while wearing a clear plastic safety mask to remind her Little Monsters that they can pre-order her new album in less than two weeks (August 19). She then accompanied the shot by telling fans she couldn't wait for them to see her "Applause" video, and that she was listening to her album.
"I know maybe this upsets you, as you'd very much like to hear it," Lady Gaga wrote. "I share these personal feelings because If I Had To Go Another Month Without Playing The New Music I Think I'd Chew My Arm Off." She then shared the photo, writing, "This is that arm."

"Applause 8.19 #14days" she wrote on her Twitter. And if that wasn't enough to get everyone hyped up for the pop icon's new music, she's been releasing behind-the-scenes pics on the social media site for all to see. In one shot, she appears to be in the studio working on Artpop with the band She Wants Revenge. Gaga introduced the band in a caption on the photo and was wearing a relatively risqué outfit for her recording session. Although, is that all that surprising? Donning a pair »

Well, this is one way to increase anticipation for her upcoming album. Lady Gaga—who is scheduled to perform the first unnamed single from her third studio album Artpop at the MTV Video Music Awards next month—recently got her nose pierced, and her makeup artist Tara Savelo posted a YouTube video of the process for all of the singer's Little Monsters to enjoy. She captioned the clip, which is set to intense electronic music, "haus life." In the video, Gaga is shown getting her septum pierced, while maintaining an incredibly calm demeanor, as the piercer fits the "Judas" singer with a circular nose ring. The 27-year-old performer visited the »
Forget Madonna: It looks like Lady Gaga may have new feud brewing with Lana Del Rey. A leaked demo purportedly cut by Del Rey has been making the rounds online, and the track, titled "So Legit," has been firing up a number of Little Monsters who are speculating that the "Born to Die" beauty is dissing their beloved "Judas" singer. In the tune, the singer, who sounds uncommonly like Del Rey, calls Gaga by her real name, Stefani Germanotta, while slamming the pop star's music and success. "Stefani you suck / I know you selling 20 million / Wish they could've seen you when we boo'd you off in Williamsburg / You're hurt I know my words don't hurt, yeah" the »
Paws up, Little Monsters! After a hip injury in February that derailed her Born This Way Ball Tour and confined her to a (24-karat gold-plated wheelchair), Lady Gaga is slowly making her way back into the spotlight. The singer will take the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 25, when she'll perform the new (and still untitled) single from her upcoming fourth studio album, Artpop.
