The Affair Season 3 Episode 8 Review: The Miserable Hero

15 January 2017 8:00 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Not until it their relationship was finally over did I realize how invested I was in Cole and Alison finding their way back to each other.

Cole had secrets that came to light on The Affair Season 3 Episode 8, but they weren't anything to do with the attempted murder of Noah Solloway. Instead, Cole has been living a lie about the love of his life.

As Alison put it, Cole had to decide whether to be the happy asshole or the miserable hero, and making his choice kind of ripped my heart out. From the look on his face, a little bit of his was torn out for good, as well.

It's hard to imagine what this will mean for the characters going forward. I continue to believe the focal point of the narrative is Noah, and even though he had his pivotal affair with Alison, once she clears up her issues with him, »

NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 12 Review: Kulinda

8 January 2017 8:12 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Kensi's feeling left behind, and it's a weight on the whole team.

New relationships are forming, or solidifying on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 12. Except for Kensi, who's inadvertently ruining hers with Deeks.

Before I cover all the personal drama, let's take a quick look at the case of the week, such as it was.

Sam got to dress up and go undercover at the same private-security firm where this week's victim worked. There was a hint of dirt, but no, a couple of the guys at the firm were helping out a misguided young man and one of them got killed for his troubles.

(Shoutout to Eddie George, the former All-Pro running back, who played one of Sam's security-firm co-workers and who may be the next ex-nfl player to make the transition to acting.)

Sam's contribution was to make an inspirational speech to keep the firm's boss from ruining his and his company's reputation. »
