Image Entertainment has acquired all Us rights to the comedy starring Hugh Grant and Marisa Tomei.

The Rewrite marks the fourth collaboration between writer-director Marc Lawrence and Grant, who previously starred in Two Weeks NoticeMusic And Lyrics and Did You Hear About The Morgans?

Allison Janney, awards contender Jk Simmons and Chris Elliott also star in the story of a former Oscar-winning screenwriter who takes a job at a university in upstate New York where he falls for a single mother.

Breakthrough Entertainment has sold all Us rights on dramatic comedy Cas & Dylan to eOne. Richard Dreyfuss plays a dying doctor who goes on the road with an unorthodox young lady.Bond/360 has taken Us rights to the imminent Doc NYC screening In Country, about a group of men who reenact battles from the Vietnam War every year. »

Village Roadshow Hires Bonni Lee, former Geffen Pictures President

Village Roadshow Pictures has named veteran executive Bonni Lee as senior VP of production.

Lee, who has worked for David Geffen and Robert Redford, will report to cchairman and CEO Bruce Berman.

“It is our great fortune to have someone like Bonni, a unique talent with impeccable taste and an enviable track record to match,” Berman said. “Her creative insight and depth of experience will be invaluable in shaping our business approach.”

Lee previously developed TV and feature films through her company Mighty Hula Pictures with a production deal at Dreamworks.

Prior to that, she was president of David Geffen’s Geffen Pictures, overseeing “M. Butterfly,” “Interview with the Vampire” and “Michael Collins,” and president of Redford’s Wildwood Entertainment, overseeing “Incident at Oglala” and “A River Runs Through It.”

She also worked as VP at Warner Bros.’ feature division where she brought on Tim Burton to direct “Pee Wee »

In the woods of Salem, capital city of the the U.S. state of Oregon, a group of men spend the weekend reenacting the Vietnam War. This group comprises of American veterans from the wars of Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam.  Some members are still-serving soldiers who are in between overseas deployments and some are civilians who want to experience the war. The group even has a Vietnamese veteran from that ill-fated war.

Directors of In Country use this reenactment as an opportunity to delve into the American war culture and to explore the psyche of men who experience war

Grammy Awards Results: Daft Punk Wins Top Honor

The 2014 Grammy Awards saw Daft Punk, the electro-pop duo from France, win the night’s top award for their album Random Access Memories.

Daft Punk also took home the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Record of the Year awards for “Get Lucky” with Pharrell Williams – who served as the helmet-clad pair’s voice in accepting their awards. In the pre-show, they were awarded Best Dance/Electronica Album.
