Offbeat, absorbing...

An offbeat, absorbing, but ultimately redundant retelling of Marilyn Monroe's days as a teen and her persistent entrance into show business.

Of interest mainly for a knockout performance by Misty Rowe as Norma Jean (young Marilyn).

**1/2 out of ****.
