Very cliché but still so very entertaining...

All the lines, all the scenes and all the acting is cliché but for some strange reason I fell in love with all the characters and enjoyed every second of the film. A corny movie that touched my heart!

An amusing comedy and mystery.

I found this comical mystery more amusing than usual tv movie fare and is worth watching. I saw it several years ago with the alternate title, BEAUTY AND DENISE. The mystery is not something I could guess, but some are much better than I at this. I just let my mind go and enjoy the predicaments they leading characters get into.

Just plain fun!

Watched this movie years ago and still have it on video. It was so entertaining. A perfect way to unwind when life has been tough.

My favorite line in the movie was "Denise ... who's Jimmy Hoffa?"

Jackie and Denise were so funny together
vchimpanzee24 February 2005
After spoiled brat bimbo actress/model Jackie arrives at the apartment of a man she was dating, she finds dead bodies and ends up being protected by tough, tomboyish cop Denise. Denise cannot believe anyone could be so naive and demanding. But she isn't taken seriously by her fellow police officers, so she has to take this assignment. In the process of trying to solve the murders--which are somehow connected to a tell-all book Jackie's latest boyfriend was writing--Jackie and Denise learn to understand each other and each even develops qualities the other has.

I really like Jackie and Denise together. Sure, the movie was fluff, but it was the kind of fluff I like and very funny for a murder mystery.

should have been retitled the cover girl and the flop

This movie was aired as it's original title on Lifetime and it's aka title on WABC 7 NY's late movie in the early 1990's. This is literally the worst made-for-TV movie that has ever been produced ... I couldn't believe that Parker Stevenson was talked into this after leaving Baywatch because of contract disputes. How ever it is about the speed of something that David Carradine would be in. The story is supposed to be about a "tough tomboy type female cop" that protects an emotionally weak model that is mixed up in murder and it was set in Washington D.C. of all places. Between the stupid soundtrack coming on and off at the wrong time and the crumby acting this is like watching two early teenage girls running around with a video camera acting like imbeciles. Anyone who can sit through this entire film should receive a special award.
