Only seen it once,on tv. in 1992. Alexie Sayle stars as ritblatt, a hitch hiker who only travels by this means of transportation,in his quest to reach Colchester. He is dropped off at a small roundabout in a small ghost town and proceeds to make himself a crude shelter on the roundabout and keeps local residents awake with is portable radio, whilst waiting for the next lift to come his way. He has a positive affect on the cold,unimaginitve and bored local inhabitants who begin to worship him. He eventually gets his lift,but its not going to Colchester. Would love to own it on video,but its been long since deleted. I live and hope!
