The Simpsons is an animated sitcom about the antics of a dysfunctional family called the Simpsons (surprise surprise). Homer is the oafish unhealthy beer loving father, Marge is the hardworking homemaker wife, Bart is the ten year old underachiever (and proud of it), Lisa is the unappreciated eight year old genius, and Maggie is the cute, pacifier loving silent infant. The French-Canadian version (different from the France-dubbed version) has many particularities: it is the longest TV series dubbed in Quebec, for continuity, which is quite rare, as the producers are very impressed by its quality. Most of the voice actors are still there (Marge's voice is done by veteran actress Beatrice Picard, who starred in Quebec-made sitcoms in the 60s-80s). At one point, some actors died (among them, Benoit Marleau and Jean-Louis Millette, who made voice-dubbing in most TV series and movies) and were appropriately replaced. Veteran actor Hubert Gagnon (Homer's French Canadian voice) did replace one actor who did Homer's father Abraham voice (as opposed to Dan Castellaneta, who did both for the entire series). Though many fans ask ed the producers to re-do a season one DVD with the French-Canadian version, only the France dubbed version exists up to this day, for the North American DVD. See more »
Jasper acts as if blind in some episodes but can clearly see in others. See more »
I could answer your question, Lisa, but you and I would be the only ones in this room who'd understand. And I'm including your Teacher in that.

The annual Halloween specials are generally the only Simpsons shows to actually display the episode title on screen. The opening credits for these specials are usually altered or completely substituted with something else in keeping with the theme. See more »
With all my collection of video tapes and d.v.d.s I seem to find myself digging through my Simpsons box, when I need something to watch. It would be hard to pick a favorite episode, because of so many. It would be even harder to pick a least favorite because there is very few that could be less appealing. But boring is one thing that the Simpsons could never be considered. The writers have changed ideas, episode structure, and kept the Simpsons on a continuous exciting adventure. Anytime of the day or no matter what seems to be the mood , the Simpsons is always satisfying to to view even over and over and hours on end.
