Deciding on the "best" films of any particular year is never an easy task, especially depending on how seriously you take that task. On the final page of this list of my top ten films of 2012 I've included links to my previous top ten lists from the years 2003-2011 and while the majority of the films on those lists remain favorites of mine, it's quite evident how much more seriously I take this process from one year to the next, not to mention how many more films I actually see each year. Going through the list of films I saw in 2012, I was pleased to see how much easier I found it to come up with movies I considered candidates for my top ten. Two thousand and eleven offered several good films, but I had a hard time making a list of ten I considered "great". This year, from numbers »

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, we’re lobbing queries left and right about shows including Dexter, How I Met Your Mother, Gossip Girl and The X Factor!
1 | Did Fringe succeed in delivering something completely different with Walter’s Monty Python-esque hallucination? And did you weep for the unceremoniously dispatched Sam Weiss?

The X Factor USA's second season ended last night (December 20) when one of Tate Stevens, Carly Rose Sonenclar and Fifth Harmony took home a $$5 million (£3.1 million) recording contract. As the tickertape settles on another season, it's time for Digital Spy to take a look back at the show and decide what we liked most this year. 5 - Mario Lopez Mario Lopez was one of two new hosts this year, replacing Steve Jones and joined by Khloe Kardashian. We were a little sceptical at the thought of two hosts at first, but it actually works. Of the two? Mario wins every time. Where Khloe seemed nervous and often lost, former Saved By The Bell star Mario kept calm and collected. If both are to return next year, we hope their dynamic as a duo is worked upon. 4 - Panda Ross Panda Ross was last seen auditioning (more) »

There is the time in every child’s life when he or she becomes interested in live-action shows as well as cartoons. I’m so old now that I don’t even know whether they have Saturday morning cartoons anymore, but I know that when I was a kid, cartoons ran from about 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. or noon, after which a block of live-action programming aimed at slightly older kids began. When I was really little I’d always be like “Awww” when the cartoons ended and repair to my room to play with Legos. But at a certain point—around age 7?—I became intrigued by the human-featuring shows, and so the great battle between Futuron and Blacktron was postponed for a few more hours. I’d like to think I lived through the Golden Age of these transitional shows—the late ’80s, era of “Saved By the Bell, »

Love it or hate it, the narrative style sure made for an interesting take with storytelling. Tonight’s installment was written well, though distracting at times, giving us the opportunity to really just hear Cooper out.
Like most Private Practice fans, I have been looking forward to this character-centric installment since the beginning of Private Practice Season 6. If you’ve been following along, you already know that I’m an absolute CharCoop fan.
Now, I’m even more convinced than ever that I’d be totally on board with a spinoff featuring the Freedman family.
Every passing minute reminded me how much fun it has been to watch Cooper grow as a doctor, husband and father. »

Private Practice turns its focus to Cooper on Tuesday as the Shonda Rhimes medical drama breaks the fourth wall while exploring the early days of Charlotte's pregnancy. During the episode, co-star Paul Adelstein will pull a Zack Morris and speak directly to the camera in a very Saved By the Bell narrative style that will shine a greater light on how he navigates the emotional land mine that is a pregnant Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) and the couple's squabbling that will take a sudden back seat when a medical emergency puts mother and babies in jeopardy. In the latest episode of Modern Family, I found out something that made me love Phil Dunphy even more than I already do. That's, right guys, in "When a Tree Falls" we found out that Phil once pulled a Lloyd Dobler.
As a massive Say Anything fan, I can fully appreciate Phil's attempt to woo Claire back in the day by using the boom box-over-the head move. Even if he substituted an Olivia Newton John pop song for Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," I still give credit where credit it's due.
That said, Jay Pritchett you owe that man a boom box!
Well... you know what? I'm gonna say they called it even after Phil aggressively punched the crap out of Jay during their oversized glove boxing match. I also found that to be totally unbelievable. It was a sucker punch. Jay could kick Phil's ass at any age, »
