I always looked forward to the 2-3 minutes Detectives sketch on the Jasper Carrott show. Somehow I missed all fives series when they came out so I was really keen to watch this. This review is only on the first series since I didn't bother with the other four after that.
Michael Powell and Jasper Carrott are great, but everyone else is really awful. It just reminds me a bit too much of the three films Morecambe and Wise did in 1960s (eg. That Riviera Touch). It's a 3 minutes sketch dragged out to 30 minutes. So there's too much pointless dialogue from minor characters played by random actors. There just isn't enough comic material.
