Storyline

Following the death of her fire-fighter husband, housewife Anne McNeil decides to move from New York to the small California town of Marvel, where she and her husband spent their honeymoon. Anne's daughter Lucy is resistant to the idea of leaving her home city, but she eventually begins to adjust to her new surroundings and makes friends. Anne also has some adjusting to do as she starts a new job a small gift shop.

Fuzzy Memories!

Cool, now I've become interested in reviewing short-lived and forgotten TV shows. Hey--it keeps me off the streets, I suppose. I've always liked Ann Jillian, who's overcome many obstacles in her life. And she certainly tried her best with this one.

This sitcom was not the greatest, but Ann always brought charisma and dignity to it. I remember coming home tired from horrible football practices in the Fall of 1989 and unwilling to do any homework or the like. Instead I'd goof off wonderfully watching anything on TV like this show. And even when I quit football somewhat unceremoniously a few months later I still goofed off watching TV in an unbiased manner.

If I remember correctly, Ann's sitcom was charming but ultimately suffered from an antiquated and somewhat predictable format. I could be wrong--I only watched one show which I hardly remember. But kudos to Ann!
