Leprechaun creator Mark Jones, the man who helped make Warwick Davis a household name in households that like rhyme-heavy horror comedies more than Star Wars or Willow, has just lodged a legal complaint centered on his latest project. Jones is accusing a supposed lawyer of ruining his plans for Vamprechaun, a movie that sounds like Jones invented it while staring, bleary-eyed, at his kids’ overly-sugared breakfast cereals:

Jones is accusing Lance Thompson—a man who secured funding and acted as the production attorney for his 2014 revenge thriller Scorned—of falsely representing himself as a lawyer, and torpedoing Vamprechaun’s chances of ever merrily jigging its way to unlife. The troubles apparently started during a car trip the two men took together, in which Jones explained the film’s premise.
