since the film narrates several wars, and wars are inheritly violent, there are many references to violence and also quite a few graphic scenes from actual war. Culminating in the detonation of an atomic bomb. Blood, gore and killing is shown.

As it is a depicting of imaginary and actual war scenes, the whole film is very intense.
