Trivia:
In the original English version, Castro speaks limited English and Uli translates his orders from German to English and vice versa. This is the same in most dubbed versions (i.e. Uli translates from German to the viewer's language). However, in the European Spanish version, Castro speaks perfect Spanish and no German, and instead of translating his orders (which are already in Spanish), Uli merely repeats them in her own words or adds commentary.See more »
Goofs:
Continuity: The exterior shots of the TWA plane indicate it is a Boeing 727-200. However the interior shots show a galley in the middle of the aircraft, which is a feature of the slightly smaller 727-100.See more »
Quotes:
Castro:Which way is East?
Purser Uli Derickson:We're flying East.
[Castro kneels down and starts praying]
Purser Uli Derickson:You just about killed someone and now you're going to pray?
Castro:Who killed more people in the name of God, Muslim or Christian? Tell me.
[pause]
Castro:Now I pray.

Hostess with punch!, 27 February 2001
Author: john191158 from australia

Based on a true story, Lindsay plays air hostess Uri Dereikson on a hijacked plane by Iranian terrorists. Good direction and enough suspense to see the viewer through to the end of the film. I wonder how cool and calm hostesses would be in real life? If I was on such a flight I'd want someone like Wagner as hostess, that's for sure.

One of the few Wagner movies available to purchase in Australia (most go straight to video)and scored well in the tv ratings when screened here more than a decade ago.Rating 8 out of 10.
