Sex & Nudity
-
- Brief scene in a gentleman's club with a very scantily clad woman dancing in the background of a few shots.
- Some mild sexual references.
Violence & Gore
-
- Some mild violence. Including one memorable one:
- Johnny 5 is violently smashed and he leaks. His leaks looks exactly like blood. When he is smashed, his "blood" splatters on the attackers' clothes - one of the attackers is clearly disturbed by this and stalls, but is ordered to continue. Younger viewers particularly small children will find the attack of Johnny 5 upsetting and rather distressing.
Profanity
-
- During a moment in the film, the word "crap-head" is used as if were a term of endearment. Some TV viewings have replaced this word with the milder "sap-head."
- Several Instances of the "s-word", "a-word"... Two instances of "balls."
- There is one F-word in the film. One other use by a character with a strong accent just sounds like that word but is actually "backing" (turning on the subtitles confirmed this).
- The phrase "backing up" is used but it sounds like something else.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- One robber on screen is seen smoking a cigarette.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- There is a scene where the main character of the film Johnny 5 (robot) is violently attacked with a crowbar and axe. Johnny 5 expresses pain and pleads for its life. The robot spurts and leaks a blood like substance throughout the remainder of the film. The robot does eventually bleed to death during the final scene, but is rescued by its creator Ben Jaharvi (Fisher Stevens).
- Younger viewers particually small children will find the attack on Johnny 5 and the aftermath upsetting and rather distressing.
