Fredheads Trailer Exposes Elm Street Fandom and the Cult of Freddy
A new trailer and poster have been released for the upcoming indie documentary FredHeads, which explores the diverse fandom of the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and its iconic villain, Freddy Krueger. We first reported on this Freddy Krueger documentary back in June, when it was revealed that filming was set to take place at numerous horror conventions that summer, and that's where the footage seen in this trailer was shot, with a number of fans revealing that they are "FredHeads." The launch of this trailer and poster coincides with the launch of the documentary's IndieGogo campaign, with the movie slated for release in late 2018.

The trailer includes a mix of everyday fans, some in impressive cosplay outfits, along with some of the franchise actors such as Tuesday Knight (Kristen from A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), Miko Hughes (Dylan from Wes Craven's A New

16 Horror Veterans Who Also Appeared on Freddy’s Nightmares

As most of its creators have acknowledged… “Freddy’s Nightmares,” the anthology series based on the Nightmare on Elm Street films, has hardly stood the test of time. The show’s production coincided with the release of the massively successful A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. Despite having a pretty cool concept, it seems reasonable to assume the producers […]

Nightmare on Elm Street Fan Trailer Gives Freddy a Netflix Series
Despite off and on talks of a reboot supposedly happening, the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise is currently dormant, although one enterprising fan has offered a look at what the franchise might look like if it took a far different approach. While we wait for word on the Nightmare on Elm Street reboot, a YouTube user has debuted a new fan trailer that shows what A Nightmare on Elm Street Netflix TV series might look like. While there is no indication that this franchise may be heading down the streaming service route, the trailer is certainly an intriguing one to look at.

This trailer was put together by a YouTube user named Jose Mellinas, who uses footage from A Nightmare on Elm Street Trailer Concept, the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy vs Jason. The trailer also features footage from a number of movies that don't feature Freddy Krueger,

Freddy Krueger Actor Reveals His Favorite Elm Street Kill

Freddy Krueger Actor Reveals His Favorite Elm Street Kill
What is Robert England's own personal favorite Freddy Krueger kill in an Elm Street movie? The answer might surprise you. A few months ago, a new trailer debuted for the documentary Nightmares From the Makeup Chair, featuring the iconic Robert Englund getting back into the makeup chair to be transformed into Freddy Krueger one last time. Throughout the years, there has been talk of another reboot to continue this franchise, but that hasn't happened yet. While we wait for any movement on the languishing series, Robert Englund revealed during a recent convention appearance what his favorite Freddy Krueger kill is in the entire franchise...So far.

Freddy Krueger was first introduced in the 1984 Wes Craven classic A Nightmare on Elm Street, where Robert Englund starred alongside Heather Langenkamp and a young Johnny Depp in his feature film debut. The franchise continued with 1985's A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge,

SXSW 2017 Review: Tragedy Girls Brilliantly Turns the Slasher Genre on its Head

I am absolutely in love with Tragedy Girls, as it completely defied my expectations at every single turn. A brilliant send-up of the slasher sub-genre that's relentlessly funny, heartfelt, and clever, Tragedy Girls is one of the most “fun” festival movies I’ve seen since Deathgasm, proving that no one can ever come between two best friends, especially when they've got murder on their minds and an online legacy to build.

In the film, Sadie (Brianna Hildebrand) and McKayla (Alexandra Shipp) are BFFs at Rosedale High. Also known online as the “Tragedy Girls,” they take their obsession with true crime and serial killers to the next level when they kidnap an active killer named Lowell (Kevin Durand) with hopes of learning a few things from a professional before they embark on their own murderous path. But when Lowell refuses to give up the goods, the besties decide to embark on

Elm Street 4 Actress Lisa Wilcox Revisits Dream Master Locations

Elm Street 4 Actress Lisa Wilcox Revisits Dream Master Locations
One of the greatest heroines to ever spawn from the Nightmare On Elm Street franchise is doing something very cool for fans. Lisa Wilcox, the actress who played Alice Johnson in both A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master and A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child, is revisiting filming locations around Hollywood and telling stories about making the two iconic horror movies. Having lived to tell stories about being chased by movie maniac Freddy Krueger through two different sequels, Wilcox travels to Burbank, California in the first segment (seen below) to The Johnson house, where her character Alice and her brother Rick (actor Andras Jones) lived.

After appearing in the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, Lisa Wilcox took a break to raise her children and work in the corporate world. But once bitten by the acting bug, it's hard to stay away. She says this

From The Homicidal Homemaker: "For horror fans, few things are better than a night filled with pizza, horror flicks...well, and maybe a few beers. Step inside The Homicidal Homemaker's kitchen (if you dare…) and learn how to create Freddy Krueger's Soul Pizza from A Nightmare on Elm Street 4! The Nightmare on Elm Street Series Lives On in Slots!

One of the most iconic horror movie series, and one which dominated an entire generation was none other than A Nightmare on Elm Street by Wes Craven. The inimitable Freddy Krueger was one of the most wretched, vile and horrifying creatures imaginable – a veritable demon inhabiting the minds of his subjects and then coming to life while their subconscious kept them paralyzed. Freddy Krueger is the antagonist of all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, and his is a name that has burned into the consciousness of horror fans the world over. Indeed, the devilish creation brought fear, dread and terror into the minds of an entire generation of children in the 1980s.

There isn’t a soul among us who has not heard the name Freddie Krueger and who doesn’t know that eerie,

Blu-ray Review – Bride of Re-Animator (1989)

Bride of Re-Animator, 1989.

Directed by Brian Yuzna.

Starring Jeffrey Combs, Bruce Abbott, David Gale, Claude Earl Jones, Fabiana Udenio, Kathleen Kinmont, Mel Stewart.

Synopsis:

Herbert West and his assistant Dan Cain discover how to re-animate dead tissue from individual body parts and set about creating their own ‘perfect’ woman.

Right then, now we’re talking. You can forget all of that found footage, melting ghost face, jump-scare-every-few-minutes nonsense that passes for horror at the moment as Arrow Video are bringing out the big guns with this dual format special edition of Bride of Re-Animator, Brian Yuzna’s sequel to Stuart Gordon’s horror comedy classic Re-Animator.

Despite being based on H.P. Lovecraft’s Herbert West – Reanimator short story, Re-Animator was essentially Frankenstein retold for the 1980s, with Jeffrey Combs’ Herbert West chillingly close to Peter Cushing’s matter-of-fact take on Baron Frankenstein and played totally serious against a backdrop of absurdity and over-the-top splatter.

Supernatural Thriller Clinger Gets A Trailer

Supernatural Thriller Clinger Gets A Trailer
‘Tis the season for all the big announcements for horror films as we fast approach Halloween. While all anticipation is on Crimson Peak, the other players in the horror genre are on their way. Among this is a supernatural film called Clinger , directed by Michael Stevens. We’ve attached the trailer below. Honestly, the film looks pretty fun. While I’m not familiar with Stevens previous works, a movie starring A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master alumni Lisa Wilcox and the always terrific Debbie Ronchon can’t be all bad. Clinger is out on all VOD platforms and Blu-ray October 23rd.

Make-up artist for the 2010 Nightmare on Elm Street remake calls the film “a waste of time”

With the news of another reboot to A Nightmare on Elm Street coming our way soon, many horror fans have had horrible memories of the 2010 remake come to mind – a movie that is universally hated by the community.

And someone else who doesn’t like the remake? The movie’s make-up artist Bart J. Mixon, who had also worked on A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy’s Revenge and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master.

“Like most remakes or reboots, it is sort of a waste of time,” Mixon told iHorror. “I thought Jackie was a great choice for Freddy, and I like the fact that he towers over the children, but they are bigger than him as adults. But any scenes that are direct copies of what was done in the original just fail to improve in any way over the original. Maybe by
