Not a lie or exaggeration. "Dorf and the First Games of Mount Olympus" is my favorite spoofer. There are plenty of these kinds of comedies and a lot of them star the Dorf man but none of them can touch the number of laughs that this movie reaches. The fact that not one gag falls flat, not one throw-away line isn't funny, and this being the first film and only film to use Olympic Humor properly, makes "Dorf and the First Games of Mount Olympus" a must-see. It's also one of my favorite movies. Buy it and reap the benefits of the perfect comedy. I've never seen this DVD in stores, but I'm pretty sure it comes with cash back discount if not completely satisfied. You'll know exactly why if you decide to purchase this first rate comedy free-for all: Nobody can watch it just once. Looking for a giant styrofoam bust of Plautus for absolutely no reason? Look no further. "Dorf & The First Games of Mt. Olympus" is truly amazing movie with even more slapstick gags than a cornerstone Buster Keaton feature. Long running boxing scenes and jump cuts await you in this masterpiece.
The scenes where fellow Olympian Leonard (played by Vincent Schiavelli) repeatedly gets brutally injured (to roaring laughter from the audience) have been criticized as racist. Some of the "double entendre" S&Ms are a bit risqué for kids, and of course mocking paraplegics and cripples is frowned upon in our society but otherwise this is fun for any age audience. Have fun watching!
