Among the many things wrong with 1988's Big Top Pee-wee, one major disappointment is with the title character's home. In that installment, Pee-wee Herman resides in a simple farm house, and besides his secret science lab we don't see much of it. What we do see is rather bland for the character, who in 1985's Pee-wee's Big Adventure has a tricked-out home filled with Rube Goldberg-esque inventions and other fun features. Paul Reubens, who plays the character (or is it best to call it his alter ego?), must be aiming to please fans of the earlier movie with his upcoming Netflix feature, Pee-wee's Big Holiday. Over the weekend, Netflix announced a slew of series premiere dates for new shows set to debut on the streaming service throughout the year. Since it isn't a TV series, it wasn't too surprising that one highly-anticipated project wasn't included, the new original movie Pee-wee's Big Holiday. The streaming service announced in July that the movie would debut sometime in March 2016, but today Netflix unveiled the first trailer, which reveals this movie will debut Friday, March 18.
In Pee-wee's Big Holiday, a fateful meeting with a mysterious stranger inspires Pee-wee Herman to take his first-ever holiday in this epic story of friendship and destiny.
