This movie attempted to utilize the formula of an all star cast using exotic locations which had been the trademark of the Richard B. Goodwin-John Brabourne Agatha Christie movies Death on the Nile (1978) and Evil Under the Sun (1982). Their Murder on the Orient Express (1974) and The Mirror Crack'd (1980) also had all star casts albeit the exotic locations.
