That review from a critic whose name I have yet to discover sums this show up to a tee. Boring, inane, banal - it really should be made a crime to refer to this poor imitation of "Access Hollywoood" et al. as either news or journalism.
The problem facing the producers was to make a lighter version of an infotainment show, a genre which doesn't lend itself to the heavy stories in the first place. A lighter than average newspaper still has room for a lot of topics that are worth your time to consider. That format just didn't make it to TV.
As I write this, I'm facing the same problems the writers and producers of this show did. To make it fit the required ten line minimum I having to natter on longer than needed just to fill the space.
What did you learn from that last paragraph? As much as you would have learned from this show.
