This is supposed to be the exact same Munster family as in the '60s series "The Munsters". One of Grandpa's experiments went awry, and put the Munsters into suspended animation for 20 years. Upon awakening in the '80s, they experience the same comic situations since they don't realize that they aren't "normal". Dad Herman resembles the Frankenstein monster, Mom Lily and Grandpa are vampires, son Eddie is a werewolf, and only beautiful Marilyn looks like a human. Written by

The first and thus far only version of "The Munsters" to feature lyrics with the memorable theme song. The lyrics are as follows; "We're the Munsters. We're the Munsters. We went to sleep twenty years ago, and we woke up with a brand new show. We're the Munsters. We're the Munsters... Today." See more »
1988? It can't be!
'Grandpa' Vladimir Dracula:
Yes it can, and it is! But it's no problem, I can have it fixed in a jiffy.
Jiffy? You can not fix what happened, we have just taken a twenty-two year nap!

whats with the tv rehash of a 60's comedy that sucked back then. along the lines of the adams family which they also brought back and also sucked ,adams family feature films also sucked.
awful awful awful and very boring , if you watched the original series
nothing was ever funny and the acting infantile . i watched a few episodes of the original and found it stupid , dull and a waste of film. i caught an episode of the 1988 series and PU .. John Schuck who was in McMillan and Wife back in the 70's plays the modern herman with lee meriwether as Lily .. neither actor is appealing but then again look at the crap they have to work with ,,, total bomb ....sucks majorly.
