Et Obsessions: 'What Would Diplo Do?,' Brooklyn Beckham's Photography Book, 'Detroit,' and 'Manhunt: Unabomber'
Here at Et, we're obsessed with a lot of things -- and for the week of July 31 to Aug. 8, this is what we're most excited about:

Why We're Obsessed With 'Manhunt: Unabomber'

One of the longest searches in history for someone on the America's Most Wanted list came to a close after 17 years when the FBI captured the man known as the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski. Rather than tell the story from the point of view of Kaczynski (Paul Bettany), Discovery's Manhunt: Unabomber will focus on FBI agent and criminal profiler James "Fitz" Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington), who pioneers the use of forensic linguistics to identify and ultimately capture the serial bomber. The riveting eight-episode series will touch on aspects of the investigation many have doubtless forgotten or never knew. During an interview with Et, director Greg Yaitanes explained that the show was not centered around the question whether Fitz would catch Kaczynski, but rather

Video: 'Who Shot J.R.?' 35 Years Later – and 9 Other Great TV Mysteries

Even people who never watched the original run of Dallas probably know that one of the series' major plotlines can be summed up in three simple words: "Who shot J.R.?" In the final moments of the show's third season finale, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman), the show's scheming villain but also arguably its central character, was seen getting shot by an offscreen assailant.

Fans had to wait until the fourth season premiere to find out if J.R. had even survived. What some might not remember – and what was key to the "Who shot J.R.?" mystery becoming a

We Ranked The Bachelor and The Bachelorette's Biggest Villains Ever: Is Joe Bailey No. 1?!

Raise your hand if you've had nightmares that involve Joe Bailey creepily saying "Gimme that rose" ever since he slithered onto Bachelor in Paradise? While he was apparently beloved by his fellow contestants on Kaitlyn Bristowe's season of The Bachelorette, Joe has gone from "America's Sweetheart to America's Most Wanted," as Jared Haibon put it, during his short stint on Bachelor in Paradise season two, thanks to his gross treatment of Juelia Kinney and his even-grosser relationship with Samantha Steffen. Willing to do whatever it took to get a rose ("Rose over bros" is his life-motto/the saying on Bip t-shirts we are having made), Joe manipulated Juelia, a single mother with a tragic...

Bachelor in Paradise: 'Public Enemy No. 1' Joe and Samantha's Sneaky Scheme Is Revealed

We're starting to wonder if this show should be called Bachelor in Paradise or Joe the Villain in Paradise.

On Monday's episode, the Joe-Juelia-Samantha saga continued as it was finally officially revealed that Samantha was in on the whole scheme with Joe from the beginning (to recap: Joe used Juelia to get her rose in order to stay on the show until Samantha – to whom he had been talking for more than a month before the show starting filming – arrived in Mexico).

Johnny Depp becomes America's Most Wanted man in the trailer for crime drama Black Mass

Johnny Depp becomes America's Most Wanted man in the trailer for crime drama Black Mass
Johnny Depp is America's Most Wanted crook in the gritty teaser for the crime drama Black Mass.

Depp underwent a physical transformation to play the balding crime boss Whitey Bulger, who ruled over the Boston Mob with an iron grip.

Black Mass is based on a book of the same name by Dick Lehr and Gerard O'Neill, which detailed the connections between Boston police and organised crime.

Whitey Bulger was at the centre of corruption as an FBI informant for more than 30 years, while taking out any opposition to his Winter Hill Gang.

Depp's co-stars include Benedict Cumberbatch as Whitey's politician brother Billy, Joel Edgerton as FBI agent John Connolly and Jesse Plemons as crook Kevin Weeks

Crazy Heart filmmaker Scott Cooper was behind the lens for Black Mass when it was shot in Boston last summer.

Black Mass opens on September 18 in the Us and November 13 in the UK.

Johnny Depp Gets Deadly Serious in Black Mass [Trailer]

You may already be familiar with gangster Whitey Bulger and if not, here's the run-down: Bulger was number 2 on America's Most Wanted list (right after Osama Bin Laden). He was a mob hitman who Boston for years and he wasn't even quiet about it. The police knew he was a mobster, he was responsible for the deaths of over a dozen victims and no one in law enforcement batted an eyeball.

Bulger did eventually get caught but his story is more colourful than a Scorsese gangster flick and it was only a matter of time before someone took it to the big screen and Black Mass is the first attempt.

Adapted from Gerard O'Neill's book, the movie is directed by Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper and stars Johnny Depp as Bulger in what appears to be, by far, the most interesting ro [Continued ...]

Oliver Stone Has Met With Edward Snowden About Biopic, Wants To Make Vladimir Putin Doc

It would be an off day for Oliver Stone if he didn't do something to court controversy. So, it's just another Thursday for the director. The filmmaker is currently at work on an adaptation of Luke Harding's "The Snowden Files" and the novel "Time of the Octopus," by Snowden’s Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena, which will tell the cinematic version of Edward Snowden's leak of critical documents and his flight from the U.S. government. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is set to play Snowden, but unlike the Julian Assange flick "The Fifth Estate," which angered the Wikileaks founder (though he did turn down requests to meet with the filmmakers), Stone seems to be aiming to make sure the subject of his movie is at least informed of what's going on. Even though the United States government can't get to Snowden, Stone managed to make his way to Russia and talk to America's most wanted man.

Zach Galifianakis to Join Owen Wilson in Heist Comedy

Hangover star Zach Galifianakis is set to join Owen Wilson in an untitled new heist comedy that was previously called Loomis Fargo. Jim Carrey was supposed to star in the film, but it looks like Galifianakis will be taking his place. I'm sure he'll be great in the role.

The movie is is being directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) from a script written by Chris Bowman and Hubbel Palmer. That script is based on an original screenplay by Emily Spivey (Up All Night).

The film is based on the book Heist!: The $17 Million Loomis Fargo Theft, by Jeff Diamant. It tells the true story of four Southerners who stole $17 million from an armed Loomis Fargo truck in 1997. Galifianakis will play a disgruntled armored car driver who teams up with a pretty co-worker and a group of inexperienced criminals to steal the money. Via: The Wrap

The audacity of the act was breathtaking.

'Homeland' Season 3 episode 6 'Still Positive' recap: Carrie's hiding a big Brody secret

My, Carrie Mathison, that's quite a collection of positive pregnancy tests you've got hidden in your bathroom cabinet.

It seems "Homeland" Season 3 has been keeping a big bad secret for as long as Carrie has: the Showtime series' central character is very, very pregnant. And considering the number of pregnancy tests she's been storing (and the fact she hasn't been able to take them daily), it seems as though she's been pregnant for quite some time.

Based on the timeline presented in "Tin Man Is Down," it's likely been about three months since Brody and Carrie were last together. She's had another hookup since, but it seems most plausible that this baby is Brody's. And if that's the case, Carrie has got some much bigger problems to deal with than her recent capture of Javadi, because now she's carrying the baby of America's most wanted man.

Could that be the

Don’t Worry, You’ll Still Be Able to Watch Betty White’s Prank Show
The third season of Betty White's hidden-camera prank show, Off Their Rockers, which was canceled by NBC in early July, was picked up by Lifetime on Friday. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the switch and reported that the program's twenty-episode run will begin airing on the cable channel next year. THR points out that saving canceled shows is becoming a trend over at Lifetime, which also revived Devious Maids (formerly of ABC) and America's Most Wanted (formerly of Fox.) Perhaps the geriatric Punk’d will fare better next to Project Runway and Dance Moms, anyway.

The Blacklist Review: Scam or Second Chance?

  • TVfanatic
The opening scene of The Blacklist premiere was the most mesmerizing of the fall season and the show just continued to build from there. It continued to hold my attention until the very end with the compelling characters, performances and twists.

James Spader is captivating as one of America's Most Wanted criminals, Raymond "Red" Reddington, and Megan Boone holds her own next to him as FBI Agent Elizabeth Keen. She's not going to stand by and be Red's appointed apprentice. At times, she may have learned from him, but it was with the goal of gaining information.

When he didn't cooperate, she took matters into her own hands ... literally by putting a pen into his neck.

Why would a renowned and skilled criminal as Red decide to turn himself in? He claimed that it was because he wanted to help them capture a terrorist, Ranko Zamani, though that was just his way in.
