Alt is so lovely one excuses the mediocrity around her

Marina (Carol Alt) is a beautiful teenage girl with a yen to live her life far better than the everyday humdrum. Hooking up with a penniless Italian prince at age 18, she thinks she has found just the ticket. After having a little girl, however, Prince Uncharming decides he's had enough and asks for a divorce. Nevertheless, her status as a royal and gay divorcée propels her into higher and higher levels of the social hierarchy. Thus, her romantic life is a succession of various and beautiful men, including another prince, a communist, a well-known newspaper writer and more. But, is she just another poor little rich girl? Based on the true memoirs of a noted social butterfly, Marina has enough adventure for several lifetimes. Carol Alt is one of the most beautiful women on the planet and one easily imagines how everyone around her succumbs to her charms. Most of the cast is Italian (the movie is partly dubbed in English); however, Elliot Gould shows up and does a fine job effortlessly. If you want to experience a slice of life as a jet-setting superbeauty, this movie will be your wings. Alt fans, also, must see this film. She is so lovely, one could turn off the sound on the television and still be transfixed on the spot.
