The mystery part was ok. The mock trial idea seemed silly. I mean couldn't the killer and anyone simply refuse to be there? This was the introduction of Michelle as Ben's daughter(and actress) has left the show. Also, annoying Cassie from season 1 is back.
Ben is in England. I thought this was a perfect opportunity to do some fun stuff. Fish-out-of-water things. I wish Ben had immersed himself in English culture and actually did wear the robes and wig. That would have been funny, especially if his wig had fallen off or something. There was next to nothing of trying different foods. Instead, they focused on Ben's sore feet and wrong-sized new boots for the humor.
I couldn't help but wonder what English people would think of this episode. Bad stereotypes? Or funny? Perhaps insulting given the snobbery of the prosecutor?
They had this as a two-parter on Pluto TV. But here on this site, it's listed as one episode. So I don't know why that is.
Ben outing the killer on the stand was really good. But again since this wasn't a real trial so couldn't the killer have simply walked away when asked to get the cast off? A very weird episode in some ways. I like Michelle, but wouldn't it have been more fun and interesting if Ben's investigation had him paired up with an English investigator? The contrast between the two could have made it a lot of fun. 7/10.
