Our pal Christopher Campbell has put together a pretty cool top ten list over at Spout Blog. Inspired by the frenzy surrounding Paramore, who has been fortunate enough to land two songs on the Twilight soundtrack, he's put together a list of one hit wonders made by the movies. As memorable (and impossible to eradicate from easy listening stations) as Lookin' For Love, King of Wishful Thinking, and Stay (I Missed You) are, they're really just that one song from that one movie -- you know the one ... yeah, that movie! (By the way, the above three are from Urban Cowboy, Pretty Woman, and Reality Bites, respectively.)
The best thing about these lists is the debate they inspire. I disagree that Chris Isaak's Wicked Game fits the mold, as I think it's associated less with Wild at Heart than with a sandy and sexy Helena Christensen. In coming up with nominations of our own, »

The Daily Record UK talks with Robert and Kristen about their chemistry nbspRobert said When I got into bed with Kristen I said Ive only known you for an hour and we are in bed. I think I must have gone way over the top with it as well because I remember looking up afterwards and director Catherine Hardwicke had a look on her face as if to say What are you doing? You look like youre having a seizure. I felt something with Kristen during that scene which very rarely happens between two actors. Explaining why the socalled Twilighters find the vampire tale the sexiest since 1987s The Lost Boys which starred Kiefer Sutherland Kristen said I think its because vampires are classically meant to draw you in to the point where they have you in a complete submitting state to where they can then kill you.So thats »

"Hill," from Fox TV Studios, centers on two police detectives, one black and one white, who team up on the turbulent and unpredictable streets of late-1960s Harlem. Winter and Pearl are writing. Loeb and Pearl, who have a first-look deal at FtvS, are exec producing. Winter also is co-executive producer.
"As with all our other projects, this seemed to lend itself to unique and interesting characters and the promise of a really cinematic series that could stand side by side with our library of films," AMC vp original programming Jeremy Elice said, adding that the project is intended to be serialized with the potential for closed-ended stories as well.
FtvS executive vp programming David Madden said the project will deal with more than just crime stories.

The 22-year-old star is poised to set teenage girls' hearts a flutter in the soon-to-be-released adaptation of hit novel Twilight.
And Pattinson is already movie fans' favourite vampire - before he has even sunk his teeth in a victim on the big screen.
He has topped a Moviefone poll to find the best batty biter.
The top 10s are as follows:
The last time we checked, Joel Schumacher’s next movie, Inland Saints was called Fix, and was a gritty urban thriller about a gang leader who falls in love with the daughter of a detective tasked with bringing down the gang. Well, not any more. Schumacher has brought on new writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift to retool Kurt Sutter’s script, and the result is a new title and a bold new direction. For the movie is now an action horror set in a small-town desert wasteland. Plot details are scarce at the moment, but gangsters and drugs are still involved… just not in the way they once were. It’s perhaps no surprise that the film has moved in this direction. After all, Shannon and Swift are the writers of the upcoming Friday The 13th remake, so horror comes naturally to them, while Schumacher – director of The Lost Boys, »

I’m sure there were a lot of you out there who were pretty disappointed when we announced the postponement of Fear Fest 3, which was set to go down next weekend in Dallas. Believe me, no one was more upset by it than we were, but that cloud certainly had a very silver lining, indeed; namely, Fear Fest 3 will now be a part of Wizard World Texas!
The official press release is circulating now, but the long and short of it is that Fear Fest has teamed up with Wizard World to add a horror element to their very successful, long-standing sci-fi/comic convention. Of course a big name like Wizard means some big guests, too; along with the Monster Squad and Friday the 13th: A New Beginnning planned for the October show, Corey Feldman (The Lost Boys, The Goonies, Friday the 13th 4 & 5) and Danny Trejo (From Dusk Till Dawn, »

Top Ten Movie Mullets There was a time when mullets were cool. It was a magical world of blue-denim jackets, Bob Saget's comedic prowess, and conservatives with some sanity. That world is extinct now. But archeological remnants linger everywhere, the most fascinating of which is the mullet. We find traces of the mullet in photos, TV shows, and movies from this time period known as "The Rad Years." We point and laugh and wonder who would ever ask for such a ridiculous hairdo. Some of us even copycat the mullet as some ironic tribute to a simpler time where looking stupid was looking fine. A few real mullets still exist, hiding in the backwoods, trailer parks, and 24-hour bowling alleys of the once-proud Confederate states. Yet, for the most part, the mullet died about 15 years ago. A slow fadeout. Some wept, some did not. Yet, all of us, secretly or not, »

Man, I really dig this show. Yeah, it takes me between six and nine hours to get there and back, which means I really need to start going down a day early, but it’s worth it to hang out at one of the best-run and most well-attended conventions on the East Coast.
Monster Mania 11 went down the weekend of August 22nd-24th, and featured one of the most eclectic guest lineups yet; both Corey Feldman and Corey Haim were in attendance (though not in the same room), as were Jamison Newlander (aka the Alan Frog), Jake Busey (The Firghteners, Starship Troopers), Jeffrey Combs, Tyler Mane (the new Michael Myers), Derek Mears (the new Jason Voorhees) and of course the one and only Freddy Krueger, Robert Englund!
The show was packed to say the least, though it was always hard to determine just how packed since Feldman was on the »

The former child star was linked to the project on the same day Universal movie executives confirmed Pitt had signed on to play a hillbilly who leads a bunch of hardcore Jewish-American soldiers into battle.
But Feldman claims his involvement in the film is nothing more than a rumour.
He tells MovieHole.net, "I cannot confirm any such rumour at this time. Although I am a huge fan of Qt's and would love to work with him at some point, I have received no official offer at this point."
Internet sources claim Tarantino is looking to cast Feldman as one of the Jewish soldiers in his upcoming Word War II epic. »
Ouch! The word on The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe has not been good! But despite the negative buzz, is Warner's really debating a Lost Boys 3? According to Moviehole they are! And if this report is accurate, then it'll be the sequel we all wanted to see. One that actually has both Frog Brothers (played by Corey Feldman And Jason Newlander) as well as Corey Haim's character Sam. (Although if This video isn't truly staged, then they're in trouble!)
Haim only appears after the credits in Lost Boys 2, while Newlander only pops up on the DVD's deleted alternate ending! So, a new film with these 3 is a good start for redemption with the fans.
Moviehole's Clint says, "I've spoken to one of the chaps involved in the movie since its DVD debut last week and he promises me that there will definitely be more Sam and Alan in "Lost Boys 3". Feldman, »

A week after '80s idol Corey Feldman told People he will no longer speak to longtime friend Corey Haim until Haim gets sober, one of their final heated arguments is about to be aired. In an exclusive clip from an upcoming episode of the A&E reality series The Two Coreys, Feldman and his wife call on two close pals – former teen stars Todd Bridges and Pauly Shore – in an effort to get Haim to admit he needs help. Having been scheduled to film a cameo appearance in the direct-to-dvd sequel to The Lost Boys, Haim appeared on the set clearly under the influence, »

A new PETA poster prompted former child star Corey Feldman to call on his wife's cosmetic surgeon and ask him to perform liposuction.
The Lost Boys star felt he looked chubby in the new 'Give Peas A Chance' ad to promote vegetarianism, and decided to tone his tummy through surgery.
So he called on Dr. Jeff Hoffman, who enhanced his wife Susie's breasts, to work on him.
He says, "They were going, 'More skin, more skin, give us more skin."

I came home to several new Blu-ray discs that arrived in the time I was away and out of all of them eight of them hit the shelves today. Six of them I am going to detail here as they are catalog titles. The others I will get to in a second. The first one was Top Gun of which I reviewed on HD DVD (review here) and was not very kind to considering the HD DVD edition contained none of the features from the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD. Well, I am happy to say the Blu-ray comes with all the goodies (documentaries, music videos, commentaries, etc.) that I loved from the DVD. On top of that... included is a DTS soundtrack, a Huge step up from the HD DVD Dolby DigitalPlus. »
