Bought this on spec as the storyline is true and sounded moving. She really did get 100 Jewish children out of Poland to safety and I will say no more on what happens. I watched it today and was very pleased to find the movie to be very well acted even though I knew none of the cast. Linda Lavin is not your usual lead but this film did not need one. The children were excellent and the plot although straight forward keeps moving. A portrayal of postwar Poland where the bribery, bigotry, officialdom, and tragic conditions was all too prevalent. Not a big movie and probably more for women than men but watch it if you can. Maybe one for the fellers when no-one else is around.
