Storyline

After the encounter with the shark at Sea World, Sean Brody has returned to Amity. Here he has assumed his father's role, working for the police department, and is engaged to a young woman named Tiffany. His mother, Ellen, still lives in Amity as well. Mike Brody is now married to Carla and is researching conch snails with his partner, Jake, in the Bahamas. One night, while repairing a buoy in Amity harbor from the police boat, Sean is ambushed from below and killed by the Brodys' old enemy - a Great White Shark. After the funeral Ellen wants Mike to stay off the water, but he refuses and takes Ellen back to the Caribbean with him and his wife & daughter, Thea. Ellen starts trying to enjoy life again, meeting charming pilot Hoagie after having been a widow for some time. Mike & Jake encounter the Great White Shark on the water, and tag & track it for research. But the shark soon starts causing havoc, and comes after Thea on a banana boat ride! Now, Ellen, Mike, Jake & Hoagie will face... Written by Medic249a2

Trivia

Lorraine Gary appeared as Ellen Brody in three of the four "Jaws" films, as did Fritzi Jane Courtney, who played her friend Mrs. Taft. Jaws 3-D (1983) was the only one, in which neither actress appeared. That movie was also arguably the only one that Roy Scheider did not appear as well. He appeared in the first two films, and was seen in "Jaws: The Revenge" but only via the inclusion of a framed photograph, and archive footage, used for flashbacks. See more »

Goofs

When the shark leaps out of the water, as Jake is about to apply his electric gadget, the shark suddenly has a third pectoral fin on his chest area, pointing down between the other two. This is obviously a disguised support bracket to lift the shark as high as possible. See more »

The worst
27 December 2005 | by See all my reviews

The movie is one of the worst I've ever seen. The attack scenes are worse than what I used to do with Fisher Price Town and a stuffed seal from Marineland. The shark follows them to the Bahamas; apparently for revenge...revenge for being killed in earlier movies! Or is the shark exacting revenge for his friends who were killed? Or maybe (and here's something they could have pursued) it was the WIFE of the previous shark who decided the wife of her husband's killer should suffer. Well she did suffer, by appearing in this movie. For Jaws 5 I suggest the surviving family members of Mrs. Brodie swim back to New York and start biting sharks.
