I watched this movie the other night with a couple of friends, bought it at the bargain-bin somewhere a long time ago, and didn't really feel like watching it right away because of the ridiculous cover of a gun-toting Rick Hill standing in front of a big sheriff-star! And the cover didn't lie, the movie was a complete JOKE!
Summary: In the beginning we see a bunch of hooded thugs robbing a bunch of places apparently guarded by the Military Police, but the MP's look like interns! They have NO soldier-skills WHAT so ever! All it takes to kill them is a slight bash to the head or a choke-hold, that's IT! And the bad guys rob a bunch of weapons, which supposedly is going to be sold to some foreign buyers or something..
The hero is a small-town sheriff (Rick Hill as Jack Stieger), whose partner back in the big city was killed, thus prompting Jack to become a small town cop instead, how sad, aww, let's feel sorry for him, please.
And on top of all that, the town isn't even a real town! It's clearly made by cardboard cut-outs or some sort of super-cheap material that not even hobo's would want to live in! It's all blown to pieces at the end anyway..
Argh, I don't even wanna go on, this movie was so bad, my brain hurts trying to remember it.. but the worst thing about it was the ending:
*SPOILER*
He shoots bad guys with a HUGE machine-gun, I have NO idea how the hell he got it, since small-town cops don't usually have automatic weapons like that, but maybe he took it from some dead guys corpse and didn't want to let it go... but anyway: When he's up against helicopters (filled with machine-gun shooting madmen) or fully loaded freight-planes, he pulls out his smaller handgun and shoots: Once, Twice, Thrice, and BOOOM! The aircrafts EXPLODE!!! What kind of ammo he's been using I don't know, but it CAN'T be legal, that's for sure!
*END OF SPOILER*
All in all, I give this movie 3/10 because: 1: It made me laugh, especially at the ending with the 1-2-3 shot, and the scene when the barkeep comes out of the closed bar to face a bunch of evil looking bad guys, just to tell them: "We're closed"...what the hell was HE doing there, then?? What a moron! The bad guys obviously didn't think anybody was in there until he came out of the shop! They proceeded to beat him up and rob the place of course.
2: Robert Dryer was in it, and he's Fred "Hunter" Dryer's brother, that's cool. Plus Kas Garaz! That's just a funny name.
and 3: What? Rick's T-shirt is sweating in one scene, and then it suddenly turns all dried up in another scene?? Must've been Robert 'Dryer' who did some kind of magic to it....oh, wait...1-2-3: KA-BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
