It is a beautiful, exciting and hilarious story
14 October 2013 | by (Spain) – See all my reviews

It is incomprehensible to give it just a Goya Award for this film, because in my opinion was awarded numerous. All actors were deserving of an award - that of " Saza " as " Comrade Sonsoles " is the most deserved - but it is incomprehensible that it also granted Pepe Soriano " Paulino Alonso " . His resemblance to Franco's amazing, characterized brilliantly, but his performance is amazing. His interpretation is very difficult because it has to represent the "Caudillo" with a detailed study of his personality rigorous yet represent a poor man who must progressively become his double on orders of the Franco regime. Even his looks are a sober fear when they are supposed impersonates the dictator (the best example is the visit to the mine). Mercer and Valcárcel taken as a basis for the argument , the hypothesis of the rumor that Franco served a double yours to attend events less secure or replace him when he did not want to appear in public. From this, he came a great comedy with entanglement situations in "Palace of El Pardo" also have a lot of drama , which is " Paulino Alonso " to be forced to work with a plan that ends with his daily lives and happy ,

It's a sitcom endearing historical touches, is a story that takes care of both the environment protagonist "Paulino" as the hardships to which it is subjected during its learning compulsory gestures of the dictator. Learning that transforms it to make it difficult to discern between the true and the false leader, which "Paulino" cleverly used for personal gain, as demonstrated in the hilarious scene in which he makes a great trick to "Comrade Sonsoles " traitorous and hilarious character of the great actor José Sazatornil "Saza ".

After the clutter of separate - impersonation with consequential increases soft logical and popular acclaim ego at public events and no doubt acquired picaresque " Paulino " in use, the film also gives us a beautiful love story between forced marriage apart forever , however code to establish a great , despite the separation of through and the passing of the years , demonstrate that they want, with the backdrop of the beautiful song by Antonio Machin giving movie title : "Espérame en el Cielo" with a magnificent Actress Chus Lampreave , " Emilia " as strong and faithful wife , resigned to the only way to see her husband with the news of the NODO .

It is a beautiful, exciting and hilarious story, deserving of much more famous for its human qualities and romantic. Of note is the rarity of seeing stories of love between older people , which also gave us Garci with that beautiful movie with an Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1982 " Volver a empezar" .
