Sex & Nudity

Rated PG-13 for Sexual Content Including Suggestive Dancing, Language, and Some Mature Thematic Elements.

Sexy dancing scenes involving body rubbing

A brief sex scene, no nudity is shown

3 love scenes, a brief glance of the backside of the main male characters buttock when he gets out of bed.

In the water scene where the 2 main characters are learning lifts, the female's shirt is white, and you can see her breasts through it, but it is hardly noticable.

When the female character changes clothes in the back of the car, the male character watches from the rear-view mirror.

Sexual talk is suggested through out the entire movie.

Females who dance are shown numerous times wearing only briefs and sport bras.

The people in this movie dance as if they are having sex on the dance floor. There is a tremendous amount of grinding aka dry sex in this movie. This movie is not appropriate for youngsters!

*In the 20th Anniversary DVD set, there are VERY dirty deleted scenes.*

Violence & Gore

Two men fight.

There is a scene where a character gets a back street abortion (since abortion was illegal in 1963) and she is obviously in a lot of pain, very mild blood is seen on her clothes.

The character, Penny, is shown towards the beginning in the kitchen floor crying after an atempted abortion, but nothing is shown, and some adults don't even realize what is going on.

Profanity

the word sh*t is said a few times. Other mild profanities are used.

Some characters are seen drinking and/or smoking.

Abortion scenes can be startling and confusing to youngsters.
