Detective Lo Gatto

More complex detective story than one might think even if it all ends in a farce. Not exactly a good movie but there is a lot worse.

Despite the mess that will combienerà Commissioner Lo Gatto will be able, without having the intention, to solve the case.

The idea was funny, but many situations dies with no other explains. For example the flashback Lo Gatto has when speaks of his French love story.

It is like confusing.

Furthermore Banfi seems constricted into a role not fully comical. Sometimes it is melancholic and simply does not work.

A MASTERPIECE

Incredibly well acted and directed.Lino Banfi is terrific as the mature policeman.Photography is superb. Actors in supporting roles just amazing. Wow a true classic!!!!!!!!!!

Cult movie.

It's an hilarious movie, even after seeing it several times it still manages to entertain. An intelligent comedy that illustrates the many souls of the Italian peoples (especially in the 80s).
