Full programme for Glasgow Film Festival 2017 announced

The Glasgow Film Festival has announced the full line-up for the 13th edition of the festival, which runs between March 15th and March 19th.

This year’s programme includes 9 world and international premieres, 65 UK premieres and 67 Scottish premieres, including the likes of John Butler’s Irish coming-of-age charmer Handsome Devil and Mad To Be Normal starring David Tennant as infamous Scottish psychiatrist R.D. Laing.

UK Premieres include Raoul Peck’s I Am Not Your Negro, Terrence Malick’s Voyage of Time: Life’s Journey, Cate Shortland’s Berlin Syndro, while the festival also features the first Scottish screenings for films such as Paul Verhoeven’s Golden Globe-winning Elle, Ben Wheatley’s Free Fire; Lone Scherfig’s Their Finest, Olivier Assayas’s Personal Shopper, and Hope Dickson Leach’s The Levelling.

Festival to host 65 UK Premieres, including Terrence Malick’s Voyage Of Time and Raoul Peck’s I Am Not Your Negro.

The full programme for the 2017 Glasgow Film Festival (Feb 15-26) has been revealed.

The festival will host 65 UK premieres, 67 Scottish premieres and nine world and international premieres.

As previously reported, Glasgow will kick off with the European premiere of Handsome Devil, a coming-of-age drama starring Andrew Scott and directed by John Butler (The Stag).

The world premiere of Mad To Be Normal, starring David Tennant as renowned Scottish psychiatrist R.D. Laing, closes the festival. Tennant is expected to attend.
