Trivia:

Chris Rock makes an appearance as the valet at the Playboy Mansion who complains about Axel bringing in a cement truck. This is his first role on the big screen; Rock was featured in an HBO comedy special (which featured aspiring comedians e.g. Robert Townsend, Marsha Warfield) which was produced by Eddie Murphy and his childhood friend Clint Smith.

Goofs:

Continuity: When Rosewood pulls up to the racetrack, both doors on the right side of the car are open. However, in the next shot, we see Taggart exit out of the vehicle from the left side and the door on the right side is now closed.

Good action packed sequel

Beverly Hills Cop II is a great follow up to the classic first film. While the film tones down some of the comedy , the action is upped to the max courtsey of director Tony Scott. Murphy contuines to have good chemistry with Reinhold and Ashton and Brigette Nelson is great the a villanness.
