Nick is taking Angie out to celebrate his getting a contract to work for a fashion catalogue and Sam agrees to mind baby Joe. Daphne is being wined and dined by Giles in his flat and she compliments him on his mastery of Chinese cuisine. However next day he is exposed as a fraud when she spots the empty cartons from the takeaway in his dustbin.

Rock star Flash Leopard asks Nick to his country mansion to shoot his album cover and Angie and Sam persuade Daphne to make up the numbers. Daphne is instantly critical of Flash's anarchic lyrics which are at odds with his accumulated wealth and is unusually grateful to Sam who rescues her after a riding mishap. Sam is outraged to hear that Flash wants sex with Angie in order to give Nick the job and proves himself to be a hero all round to secure the contract.
Sam unveils his newly-stuffed penguin, which he calls Giles, much to Daphne's displeasure. Giles wins but Angie discovers that he has cheated and persuades Daphne to do the right thing by telling Sam.

Unfortunately it turns out to be stolen - along with lots of other valuables, which - unlike Giles - are found in his flat. Things are bad enough for Daphne but when baby Joe gives her a health scare she has every reason to be glad of Sam's support.
