Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Stay Bundled Up Despite 90-Degree N.Y.C. Weather

19 May 2017 8:05 AM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

While the rest of the world has the luxury of fully experiencing all four seasons and the various pros and cons they each have to offer, increasingly the weather in New York City has come to be dominated by extremes. There’s extremely cold days and spectacularly hot ones with very little in between. That means when summer finally does hit the metropolis, it hits hard, like this week when temperatures suddenly jumped from a brisk 50-something all the way up to a very sweaty 90°. But there’s at least two city dwellers who seem totally unfazed by the sudden meteorological about-face, »

Bob Saget got lots of love on his 61st birthday from his Full House co-stars.

On Wednesday, the actor was gifted with special heartwarming messages from his TV family, who took to social media to express how much they loved him.

Candace Cameron Bure, who plays Saget's TV daughter, D.J. Tanner, shared a photo of the two, writing on Instagram, "Happy birthday to the one and only Bob Saget! If I start listing all the things I love about you and about how well we get each other, it's gonna sound like a remembrance instead of a celebration."

"Love you with all my heart," she added. "Anyone who's had the blessing of knowing you for even a minute has been touched and changed. (And don't go making that into a dirty joke). Happy Birthday Bob - from all my heart." »

Miley Cyrus Won’t Do a Hannah Montana Reboot Because She’s Sick of Her Dad

17 May 2017 7:45 AM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Reboots of classic TV shows are all the rage. Full House has done it. So has Gilmore Girls and Arrested Development. Twin Peaks is on the way. And just this week, NBC and ABC confirmed Will & Grace and Roseanne would be back too.

But could a reboot of Hannah Montana be in the future?

Not if Miley Cyrus has anything to do with it.

The 24-year-old singer, who starred as a normal girl by day and famous singer by night on the hit Disney Channel show from 2006 to 2011, told The Zach Sang Show on Tuesday that she has no plans to step back into Montana’s shoes — mainly because the series would likely involved her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.

“Probably ,” she said when asked if she would revive the show. “It’s a lot of time to be spent with my dad. You know, my dad was my dad on the show. I have enough dad time.” »

Friends: The One That Resembled a Full House Episode

Friends is and always will be my favorite TV show. Today marks a very special day for fans of the NBC sitcom. 13 years ago, Friends aired its final episode and had 52 million people in tears as they said goodbye to Monica, Joey, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, and Rachel. Over the years, the number of fans for the series continues to grow with it airing in reruns on channels like Nick at Nite and TBS. When watching an episode not that long ago (one that I have watched 50 times already), I came to a startling realization. The episode closely resembled one of another cult

Girl Meets World Is Officially Dead

3 May 2017 2:38 PM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Without a doubt, nostalgia consistently plays a role in the entertainment we consume nowadays. Be it adaptations of books we’ve read decades ago, remakes of films from bygone eras, or continuations of stories that we thought had long been tied up with pretty little bows. In Hollywood, nothing is truly dead. Recently, we got revivals of such shows like The X-Files, Full House, and Gilmore Girls, but before that, Disney brought back another sitcom that my generation grew up with: Boy Meets World. The new show was called Girl Meets World, and it lasted three seasons on Disney Channel.

The show itself was a fun little dose of nostalgia, and from its second season on it even managed to tackle more serious subject matter — the kind of subject matter that its predecessor covered. Unfortunately, the show didn’t gel as much as they hoped, and each season, the show suffered gradual drops in ratings. »

The Best Sitcoms That Need a Revival Now — IndieWire Critics Survey

2 May 2017 8:29 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: In light of the recent “Roseanne” revival news, which sitcom would you like to see a revival of? (Let’s assume this is feasible from a network, talent, production, etc. standpoint.)

Liz Shannon Miller (@lizlet), IndieWire

So many great sitcoms are personality driven, which makes it hard to remember great premises worth reviving. (And also, when I think about some of my ‘90s favorites, like “Step by Step” or “Friends,” it’s like… Oh, maybe there’s nothing new under the sun.)

But, beyond my eternal wish that someone would remake “Almost Human” as an adorable rom-com about Karl Urban and Robot Michael Ealy falling in »

The return of past television, which has recently included The Gilmore Girls, Full House, and others (including news of a Will & Grace return), now adds one of comedy television all-time greats, Roseanne. Deadline reports in an exclusive (see below) that Roseanne a revival is in the works with at least Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert.

Deadline also reports that the show intends to get all the principal actors from the original in some capacity for the reboot.
