Youngblood (1986) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Toward the beginning of the film, there is a brief scene where sex is strongly implied, but no body parts are shown.

Also, toward the beginning, we briefly see Dean's buttocks and the outline of his crotch in his jock strap after coming out of the locker room.

There is a fairly intense sexual scene later on in the film with Dean and Jessie, where bare breasts and buttocks are both seen.

Violence & Gore

Throughout the film, there is general violence during the hockey scenes.

There is occasionally blood shown, as it is a film about hockey. And there is one scene where we see Dean getting stitches from a blow to the head from a hockey stick.

General R-rated language: several uses of "fuck", "shit", "goddamn", "ass", "asshole", among others.

There is one scene toward the beginning-middle of the film where Dean and some of his teammates go out drinking and are clearly drunk by the end of the scene. It is all done in a very humorous manner, however.

Some of the hockey scenes might be frightening to younger viewers as it can be quite emotionally intense.

After a player on the hockey team hits his head on the ice leading to a cracked skull, he ends up in the hospital. The scene is slightly intense.
