Norman Bates is back again running his "quiet" little motel a month after the events in Psycho II. Norman meets three new people, one being a beautiful young nun with whom his budding relationship is beginning to make his "Mother" jealous. Did You Know?
Director of Photography Bruce Surtees once quizzed Perkins about his blocking of an upcoming shot, figuring the star would have been unprepared as this was his first directing job. To his surprise, Perkins had blocked out the whole scene and knew what cameras and lenses to use for the scene. Surtees never asked Perkins another question about blocking scenes after that. See more
When Duke first arrives at The Bates Motel, he is talking to Norman at his car while holding keys between his teeth. Duke says "You live up there, eh?" but his lips never move. See more
