This film was released on NTSC VHS videotape in North America by Mustang Videot in 1987 with the title..... PAULETTE....It had a small distribution in Quebec and the French speaking areas of Eastern Canada and the northeastern USA....There is no DVD version......It was released in French Language with English Subtitles.....It is no longer In Print and is rarely seen in French Canadian video stores.....the Ex-Rentals are generally poor quality and and the original tape has often been replaced.....Good luck in finding a good Copy.............Directed by Claude Confortès and stars Jean Marine as Paulette, Catherine Leprince of David HAMILTON fame..........the run time of the North American release is 1 hours 32 minutes......This feature-length comedy is based on the classic French Sex cartoon by Georges Wolinski........After some misguided attempts at mixing with the riff-raff, the young rich heiress Paulette (beautiful Jeanne Marine) decides to start giving her money away to anyone who sounds like they really need it....Beautiful Catherine Leprince in a strange cross dressing.......... Considering this to be an act of insanity, her greedy and crooked estate administrator gets her institutionalized. In retaliation, Paulette escapes with a fellow inmate, and after several misadventures (some nudity here) she finds herself nearly drowned and still no closer to regaining her estate. She is saved by some bargemen who decide to help her out — and the adventure continues." .....
