Mother Teresa (1986)
Mother Teresa: Each individual person has been created to love and be loved-Hindu, Muslim, Jew, Christian-doesn't matter race, doesn't matter religion. Every single man, woman, child is the child of God, created in the image of God.
Mother Teresa: The child is the beauty of God in the world-the greatest gift to her family... we are fighting abortion by adoption
Mother Teresa: You can find Calcutta all over the world if you have the eyes to see. Everywhere in the world, there are people that are not loved, people that are not wanted or desired, people that no one will help, people that are pushed away or forgotten, and this is the greatest poverty.
Mother Teresa: Most of the time people don't know the existence of the poor, they look but they don't see.
Mother Teresa: This is what Jesus came and taught us-how to love one another
Mother Teresa: And you will, I'm sure, ask me: where is that hunger in our country? Where is that nakedness in our country? Where is that homelessness in our country? Yes, there is hunger. Maybe not the hunger for a piece of bread, but there is a terrible hunger for love. We all experience that in our lives-the pain, the loneliness. We must have the courage to recognize that-the poor you may have right in your own family. Find them, love them, put your love for them in a loving action, for in loving them, you are loving God himself. God bless you.
Mother Teresa: I realized that I had the call to take care of the sick and the dying, the hungry, the naked, the homeless - to be God's Love in action to the poorest of the poor. That was the beginning of the Missionaries of Charity.
